This is very interesting...ya gotta wonder how much it will change, considering the influx of new coaching blood.

The mathematicians will notice that not all of the percentages in the chart will not add up to 100%. Thats normal.
Interceptions, deliberately throwing a ball away to avoid a sack, deflections to O-linemen factor into that. These all count as a pass attempt, but do not factor as a "target."

How did you calculate Josh Allen throwing a TD pass to himself?

I'm sure youre joking. But if anyone is wondering, I didnt.
He is not a RB, TE or WR.

Did this one with @TREFF in mind.
It's the percentage of run plays for each NFL team (vs pass attempts) but does not include any QB rushing attempts.

Look at Walker's boost in the receiving game this past season, glorified run game
Maybe that's the chart i need to factor... How each position is used regardless of run or pass.

I was surprised KC wasn't lower

They fed Hunt in some of those games that Pacheco missed.

He was a toss-in player in a deal where I sent my 1st for Mixon in one league and ended up locked into my flex spots for a good chunk of the regular season

Taking the post above by @SmokingMonkey into consideration, I made a new chart.
  • It shows the offensive ranks of each NFL team in Points and then Yardage.
  • Then I tallied up targets plus rushing attempts for the teams then divided that by each position (even QB). This shows how a scrambling QB impacts the rest of the skill positions.
  • Since I was doing all this, I calculated the scoring percentage for each position too.
  • And then showed the NFL average based on all of this data.
  • As a bonus, I indicated the teams with either a new HC (yellow) or OC (blue).
Keep in mind, this is based on each team's data (which is another reason I showed their offensive ranks for perspective).

There are few things to notice. For starters, the Saints TE numbers will change without Taysom Hill.

The other stat of note is while the RB position gets the most usage or "distribution" compared to WR, when it comes to TD scoring, the WR are the favorite to score.

PHI, BUF and PIT QB scored a lot.

But what started this was Monkey's comment about Walker's usage in Seattle. All things considered, Seattle's usage of their RB was slightly below the NFL average.

A lot of this confirms many things I was thinking already, some of it is a little surprising and refutes a few things I was thinking. Great stuff Joe!
