Why? You basically double your profit and we already have a QB1I’m not ok with a 3rd rounder for Milton

Jets release Davante Adams: Potential landing spots for six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver
Adams' limited time in New York is done following one up-and-down season catching passes from Aaron Rodgerswww.cbssports.com
From all I've seen 3rd or 4th seems reasonable for him. However, I agree with you. I wouldn't walk away from that deal because I would try to negotiate for something better. Would you trade Milton for Jacoby? If so, the #73 becomes the sweetener.I’m not ok with a 3rd rounder for Milton
A year ago he was a sixth round pick. Now he seems to have 3rd round value. Did having him sit increase his value? What could his value be with more seasoning? I think we drafted him because he was raw, but has a high ceiling. Shouldn't we try moving him closer to that ceiling? The problem for Milton is that he will be on the sidelines as long as Maye is in the driver's seat. As several in here have posted, he was selected in the sixth round and has one game under his belt. A team in need of a QB will do everything to get him fora fifth or sixth. A third would be a bonus, especially if all of the other pieces fall in place. Finding a replacement that is his equal would be a
Yes. He keeps all money already paid to him without any condition tied to his next contract. So now whoever signs him does not have to pay that guaranteed money correct?
With the QB draft we have in front of us, this kid with his ceiling can have so much more value! The problem for Milton is that he will be on the sidelines as long as Maye is in the driver's seat. Okay. Well shit I feel like he's worth throwing some numbers at.Yes. He keeps all money already paid to him without any condition tied to his next contract.
Free to negotiate a new deal. Jets may still be on the hook for whatever guaranteed money they owe him as well.So now whoever signs him does not have to pay that guaranteed money correct?

Walk the line between hey, he's already getting paid by the Jets, lets pay him a little more now which allows the Pats to load up on Offensive and defensive Tackles and go use the shiny new weapon to chase some Jewelry.Okay. Well shit I feel like he's worth throwing some numbers at.
Something we haven't discussed yet, at least not that I am aware of. How difficult will it be to deal with some of these agents. Their attitudes will damn sure be, " Hey we know you got the money to pay and overpay, my client is damn sure worth a piece of that pie". Wolfe is going to have to walk a thin line between hardball and placating
Neither would I.
Yeah I guess. I know we have to be wise when the 12th hitsWalk the line between hey, he's already getting paid by the Jets, lets pay him a little more now which allows the Pats to load up on Offensive and defensive Tackles and go use the shiny new weapon to chase some Jewelry.
Knowing that this draft is not a strong one, would you take TEN #1 for Milton??With the QB draft we have in front of us, this kid with his ceiling can have so much more value!
That's like asking if I'd give up my bottle of water on a hot day for a gold bar. If, I'm stranded in a desert I won't (i.e. we needed a QB), otherwise where's the indecision? Sign that damn paperwork as fast as you can.... But nobody is offering a gold bar for my water.Knowing that this draft is not a strong one, would you take TEN #1 for Milton??
That would give the Patriots #1 and #4. Then what? Draft Membo and Campbell and stack the left side??
Membo and Mason and Trapilo.Knowing that this draft is not a strong one, would you take TEN #1 for Milton??
