Commanders' biggest pre-draft need is painfully obvious after quiet free agency
The final step towards solidifying Washington as a Super Bowl contender involves taking a page out of the Eagles' book.
There may not be major character concerns with Lacy. He was a college guy driving a Dodge Charger. What could possibly go wrong? I had a sports car in college. I also had a few times where I could have got a DUI but I didn't have an accident. My decisions are very different now. The question is has Lacey learned from his mistake? He has a lawyer who will fight for his innocence & even if he wins, he will need to drive more carefully in the future. The allegation is that he left the scene of an accident where there was bodily injury. That's not a good thing but certainly a behavior that can change if found to be true.I dunno about Green but before the incident with Lacey, were there any character concerns? You say Lacey could be a changed man? This shows how much damage an accusation can cause. If he is convicted of a crime, his life is over
Nice piece, but I've been saying it for years, poor technical teaching and somehow a divergence away from using angles and vision has practically eliminated the ball hawking DB and excellent pass defense.![]()

In Green's case he has multiple women claiming sexual assault. He left U. of Virginia because of that. He got suspended. He also has an allegation from high school. It would be wise to be careful with drafting him.
I dont see any way he gets past Detroit and they pick right before us. Guess it depends on how the board falls and how teams feel about his two SA allegations.I would be shocked if he is there at #29. The Boston College kid is getting hype. We might have a shot at Pierce from Tenn at #29.
I think UCLA defensive end/LB Oladejo is an intriguing prospect. He will need good coaching to reach his potential but he's a gifted athlete with a relentless motor.
Do you mean he won't be there at 29 or for pick 61? I have seen projections of him in the 3rd round. If the Commanders really like him, they could pick him at 61 which is basically an early 3rd round pick.agree but I don't think he gets into the first round.
