This is a good wr class and TE class . I know sty will loathe this but trading back into Round 2 can garner the same talent level as round one In this particular draft
You're right, I am not a fan of trading back for similar, usually lesser talent especially in the earlier rounds. I really don't care what moves are made in rounds 5,6, and 7.

Mel Kiper is saying the talent in rounds 2/3 are equal to this years round one talent . Interesting

Well he is obviously wrong. Round 2 is not equal to round 3, so the idea that round 1 is equal to round 3 is nonsense.
he is saying the talent pool in round one this year and this year only is about the same as it is in rounds 2/3 this year . no real bonafide true 1st round talent

I'm with Mel but on one condition: if they all slide into the second and third rounds where he thinks they belong. There's no sense getting any of them in round one if they rightfully belong in the later rounds.

That’s what I was trying ( and failing ) to express

It is a literal impossibility for that to be true.
So are you saying it’s impossible for a draft not to have as good players as other drafts? And that some 1st rounders don’t deserve 1st round grades ?

No…I am saying it is impossible for there to be the same level of talent in round 1 that there is in round 2 or 3, of the same draft.

i am not getting it if there are very few guys who deserve first round grades but most dont receive that grade meaning they will be over drafted for the grade given, doesnt that make them 2nd and 3rd round talent ? (mostly 2nd ) and we are talking about this draft only . not other drafts that had actual graded 1st round talent not "well somebody has to go in round one " like he is saying about this draft . he is saying a lot of 2nd and 3rd round rated guys will go in round one because round one this year lacks 1st round talent you are saying that is impossible ? that most of the guys drafted this year in round one would be true day 2 guys in other drafts cant happen ?

Ahhh, it seems like yesterday when we had a group of people drafting second and third round talent in round one!

We are talking 100 players over three rounds. I understand what people mean when they say little first round talent compared to other seasons. I am saying, there is no way a talent pool stays the same in the second and third round when the first round is that weak. Logically speaking, the second and third round would also have to weaken to some extent.

Now the question becomes, is NIL to blame and paying college athletes depleting the talent pool, or at least making it appear as such.
