Someone is going to waste a pick on Sanders tonight, so really we've one less pick before our draft slot.

His fall is interesting. He did not interview well at the combine or in top-30 visits from what I understand. This could end up being the best thing for him to get a bit humbled and really want to prove people wrong for passing on him.

But yes I hope someone takes him before us pushing more talent down our way.

Smug, arrogant, materialistic and a paternal entourage that could kill an entire club. Prove me wrong! I hope he does.

Sanders is one of those prospects that if I were a QB needy team I could see that he has a real shot at being a good QB in the league. I'm probably ok passing on that chance though and let another team take the risk. There are certain QB's the talent just doesn't outweigh the red flags/personality issues.

I mean he has to know building yourself a homemade draft box to sit in when you get picked with the word "Legendary" written all over it isn't exactly the best look. There is a line between confidence and cocky. He has crossed that line in my opinion.

I think part of it for Sanders is remembering he has a very similar personality to his dad. At CB I probably don't mind it as much. We've seen plenty of diva types, but QB is a whole different ball game. You are the face of the franchise and the fans/organization want to see you leading by example that football is of incredible importance and that you will set the example with your work ethic. You will lead by example.

I also don't think his dad has helped him at all in this process. He has attacked media online that have said anything negative about his son. Sanders has also gone to twitter to attack past teammates that spoke poorly about the organization. And again if he played any other position this stuff doesn't seem like that big of a deal, but QB maturity is such a huge part of the equation for successful QB's.

Very possible. Carroll has dealt with a different type of personality at QB before with Russ when at Seattle. I will point out though that eventually the relationship in that locker room was hurt after their Super Bowl loss and the defensive players feeling like Russ wasn't held accountable for the INT at the end of the game. Would Carroll run into the same problem if he does take Sanders and other players start seeing him get preferential treatment compared to them?

Hard for a QB to carry this look.

Agree 1000% Carl. One of my lifelong friends (a Carl Dumler type 2.0 best human) who I've never heard him say a bad word about anyone. He crossed paths with Prime he was no fan of his that's for sure. He has never crossed paths with his sons. Shedeur has baggage that can easily shorten his career. I wish him the best as a CU fan but, him ending up a career NFL QB journeyman because of last name or not in NFL at all after a short time surely won't shock me.

I don't dislike Harvey and I trust Payton/Paton but wasn't exactly what I was looking for in our first RB of the draft.

Could be great. In a RB so deep so many I like he just wasn't super exciting to me. He had a great college career though. I just worry about his size, he does have the playmaking skills we need at RB. I am cool with it but wasn't in my top RB's I wanted if you had told me we were going RB RD 2-3. Outstanding college career though and hopefully turns out excellent. I give it a C. However, anything involving Payton and Paton I like better just knowing their history.

I like Pat Bryant. Very underrated WR in the draft process. Type of WR I figured we were looking for.

Elic, Royals or Pat Bryant...

I like this pick.

Comparisons to Colston.

He would have been very sought after had he run better at the combine. He's weird, though, cause he looks faster than he timed. Interesting. I'll be interested to see what Payton/Paton say at the presser.

RE: His size. He's 205, making him our heaviest RB other than Estime and the FB.

He seems to have plus short area movement skills.

The guy just makes plays and scores TD's. Has had some nagging injuries but always returned to the game.
