Not healthy though.

Not that he was ever a blazer but he is faster the 4.7.

He isn't a speed WR by any means, that isn't his game. It surely won't help him though. I know the Titans and Lions are going to have him run when they bring him in for a top 30 visit.

Oh agreed. Just a note that I'm sure some teams are going back and watching some tape to see if this changes anything. The production on the field still trumps this information.

Yeah, can't survive in the NFL with that poor of speed at WR unless you are some giant target like Ernest Wilford. Luckily for him he is not really that slow, unlucky for him he ran that slow before the NFL draft. I watched the film of him running and something doesn't look right.

Only problem is he doesn’t fit the type of WR’s Payton loves. Peyton Manning would have loved him though

He may not fit it but he has heard from Denver so there is some interest there. Of course if his 40 is really what he ran (which doesn't appear to be) it's still gonna be cause for concern by NFL teams and they are gonna have to dig up more on him and evaluate him a little more extensive... Then people wonder why players don't always run at the combine. Restrepo didn't run because he wasn't healthy but waiting didn't appear to help him any either.

Chad Ryder Says the best player to help out Bo Nix is TE Tyler Warren in this draft He will help him in all the ways you need to Develop him into a great QB. Meaning we should give up the draft capital .

He won me over .

I don’t think Warren will fall out of the top 10. He keeps referring to Bowers falling to 13, but there won’t be 6 qb”s taken before Warren like Bowers had

Yeah sounds like there are a few teams in the top-10 depending who else is still there that have Warren very high. And you are right last year's mock was very unique with the QB situation pushing top-10 talent out of the top-10. If anything the success of Bowers might push Warren higher showing the impact that a unique weapon like Warren could have.

I think there are 2 WR's that if everything was up to Payton he would be pounding the table for are Tet McMillan and Jayden Higgins. Both have X WR ability, both fit his big WR set up that he likes, and both can play from the slot and win with some route running if needed.

Higgins has Packers written all over him. Would love him in Denver. Both McMillian and Higgins would be great to add to our core. They are different then what we already have with good upside.

I think that is why I"m pounding the table so hard for a WR like this. Sutton obviously fits the bill of big WR on the outside, but this could be his last year with the Broncos and we need to start looking for his replacement while also adding some size to this WR room now. Those goal line packages is all I keep picturing when you have a guy like Higgins paired with Sutton on the outside then our big TE's working the middle. Makes us more multiple in how we can attack a defense. Then if we see a team that struggles with speed hey here comes Mims and Franklin to save the day making a defense have to respect getting beat over the top. Adding a WR like this allows Payton to do more game planning depending on opponent and really stress a DC trying to figure out how do you stop a WR core that can do so many different things.

I like WRs anywhere in the top 60. We need more playmakers from the draft. Engram felt like a priority signing. This should bode well for our draft plans now.

BTW, Sean Payton accidentally added me to the draft group chat.

The more I think about it the more I think we draft a RB early and late with the depth.

I was sorta "we only need 1 RB" which is our main RB out of this draft. However, I am starting to really key on a day 3 RB like Jaydon Blue who can hit the homer and catch the ball out of the backfield (I think Smith goes earlier) or maybe even a guy like LeQuint Allen who doesn't have the Blue speed but is a good receiver as well. It all depends on what our first RB ends up being though.

Breakdown at RB

This is not a depth chart though as all will do different things

1. Hampton/Henderson/Judkins/Someone else
2. Estime- Power back.
3. McLaughlin/Watson/Blue/Allen/Harvey/someone else
4. Badie or one of the #3's

We may end up keeping 4 RB's again if we draft two.

McLauglin was 54th out of 57 RB's ranked in yards per route run. This isn't all his fault but it also means he wasn't productive last year as a pass catcher.

Blake Watson is interesting to me and nobody ever factors him into our RB crew. He was as good as any RB coming out last year as a receiver. Another guy who was a former WR. I think Payton is still high on him but he has to have a great camp and improve in pass protection.

Badie looked good last year. Not sure what to expect with his role this year. I do know that more then likely he is gonna leave us if we try to stick him back on the PS. He is going to look for another opportunity as he has done all he can here to prove he should be on the active 53 and has earned that. If we add two RB's he may remove himself from the situation and try to better his situation elsewhere as this will be his 3rd PS with Denver.

McLaughlin is really gonna feel the heat if we do end up with a playmaking, speed RB in the draft. I think if that is the case it may end up being Watson vs Badie if we end up keeping a 4th or not. Not many teams do and we didn't initially keep 4 last year but kept a 4th one on the roster most of the year between Badies and Watson coming up.

We may be able to put Watson on the PS one more year if we have to. I don't think Badie will accept a PS spot this year if we try and go that route.

Hampton/Henderson/Judkins
Estime
Blue/whoever type in the draft

PS
Watson

If we don't keep 4 RBs on active roster and Jaleel goes unclaimed I think he would sign with our PS whereas I think Badie would move on. Of course if Watson has a great camp and we don't want to expose him to the PS he could also be the 4th RB if we ended up keeping a 4th.

It will be interesting. A good problem to have.

Just having some fun thinking about the RB position for next year.

Daniel Jeremiah yesterday said he hasn't talked to a single team that has Tet McMillan as a top-10 player in this draft. So his fall in recent mocks might be where his real value is showing in the eyes of the NFL.

Sounds right. Im seeing Dallas at 12, Seattle at 18, Denver at 20, and the Rams at 26 as spots. Very good chance that Dallas and Seattle will go oline.

I hope so and that he is sitting right there at 20 for the taking. He is one of the very few realistic players the broncos could take that I would give the Broncos an A+ grade for taking him. I'm really hoping Payton sees him the way I see him and sees how big of a need this could be to really take the offense where it needs to go.
