Nice thing about Simmons, like Banks, he could start out at RG IF Guyton tales the 2nd year peanut butter jump
I do see potential with Guyton. Whether he reaches that potential it hard to know yet.

When I look at this draft I see a lot of potential. I kind of have a list of players that I prefer at 12. Barron is on my list. supposedly he has shorter arms so some don't think Dallas drafts him.. I don't really think it is wise to eliminate a player from a draft board due to this type of stuff. Taco is the perfect example of a guy that had the length and he was not good. Even his college tape was not consistently good which is why I wanted Watt.

So to me Barron is a hell of a player. Yeah maybe he will only be a nickel ,but in today's NFL nickel corners are very important. We saw how the Cowboys wasted Lewis first 3 years just because he was smaller. There were times that Lewis was the only one in the secondary making plays.

Yeah this is a draft where I can't get bent if they don't draft who I want because people are going to see players in this particular class differently. For example, I like WR Golden more than Egbuka or Burden, I like TreVeyon Henderson more than any back but Jeanty, I like Simmons over all the OL, Barron over Will Johnson and Deone Walker and Alfred Collins early 2nd not mid 3rd. Everyone is so close there is gonna be different opinions. Trading down if at all possible for fair value is a great option

I think if I had to predict what they do I am inclined to think they go wideout. I have been thinking they go wideout for a long time now McMillan,Golden and Egbuka are probably the players they focus on.

I think Egbuka out there with Lamb would be very nice. I guess you could say I am kind on the Egbuka hype wagon. I am really torn on who I would take if I had to choose between Golden and Egbuka. I like both and am leaning Egbuka, but would be ok with either

But if I am looking at BPA I think that would be Warren if he is there. Warren makes a lot of sense if they are going to shift to more of a running attack. I have Warren rated as a top 7 pick. This guy is going to be special. I normally am not even going to consider a TE in round one. Even when Pitts came out I did not want him. But the thing is Warren has got the versatility, the size and athleticism. It's not all about that though. He has got that alpha dog in him. He wants to be the best player on the field and he will do whatever is necessary to win games. He blocks very well. He can take handoffs. He creates separation and is a matchup nightmare because he is great at everything

Yeah, I would too. I do think, like Jeanty, Warren will be long gone by 12. I think trading back will be hard, but I wonder if Tet McMillan is still on the board at 12, if Seattle might be willing to come get him since they lost Metcalf and Lockett. I saw they have a second and two thirds. We could get about the same caliber player at 18

but where is the DT?
a man crawls under a bed holding a flashlight

everyone says draft is deep in DT, but we get none?
okay let's draft a DT or 2 early on we can always get a backup QB until we can't and then sit back and watch Prescott go down again and we have nothing to send in his place or we can sit back and watch Lamb go down and then who's our #1 WR hell we don't even have a #2 or a #3 WR.

At least we have Osa and Solomon Thomas at DT

I think if McMillan is there the Cowboys will draft him. A lot are questioning his speed so he could possibly be there. I probably was wrong when I said he looks like a possession receiver. He makes things happen on the field. I have seen him body catch a few times, but most what I seen is him using the hands. Reliable catching and he is very hard to cover due to the size. I am inclined to draft TMac if he falls. I think he would do real good opposite Lamb. Dak threw lots of bad balls last season and a guy like TMac probably catches some of those. Most have TMac number 1 and Golden number 2. If they go WR then I want one of these two.. it would be very hard to pass on TMac

IF WR AT 12.
TO ME...the ohio state kid is the most pro ready.

I also like Egbuka. I would prefer they address WR in FA and draft a different position in round one. Like BPA type of thing. They definitely need help in the trenches. This is a weird draft so I am thinking something unexpected could happen

one month out and I'd still prefer 4 picks in the first 100 selections.
Same here. The total incompetence by the GM frustrates me. The Mingo trade was both dumb and irresponsible. That 4th round pick could have been used on a RB or anybody else not named Mingo

Just for an idea, I can a mock simulation at the Panthers, so I would have the pick the Cowboys traded to them at 114, just to see the player I like at that spot.
Here are a few:
QB - Tyler Shough, Kyle McCord
RB - Dylan Sampson, R.J. Harvey, Jordan James, Jaydon Blue
WR - Savion Williams
OT - Charles Grant, Anthony Belton
DT - Jamaree Caldwell, J.J. Pegues, Jordan Phillips
DE - Sai'vion Jones, Jack Sawyer
LB - Danny Stutsman
CB - Nohl Williams, Quincy Riley
After we pick at 76, our next pick is 149. I would take anyone listed above over Jonathan Mingo. Pathetic

I'm still in the mindset that we will trade down from 12 for a lower 1st round pick and depending on how far down either an additional 2nd and 3rd rounders or some combination of a 2nd and 3rd and 4th.

after that my 1st-3 picks are Egbuka WR, Henderson RB & Deone Walker DT

Deone Walker has a chance to be Chris Jones. Seriously. If his meds check out, he could be a monster

Walker is currently rated around 100 and falling.
He likely is around in the 5th round. Corner would be nice after those first two picks.
Depending on who is there, I would take Walker in the 2nd and for sure the 3rd. He played the season with a fracture in his back, and they played his twice as many snaps as the Cowboys played Mazi, and the dude is 360. The knock on him about being lazy and taking plays off...take that kid, let him have a pro weight room for a year and play him 25-30 snaps instead of 60 and watch him annihilate anyone who tries and play him one on one
