trade back 5 to 7 spots and gain an additional 2nd round pick would be outstanding.

Unless it's' Graham, I'd rather draft DT and RB in the second round

We all have our opinions of who we "want" them to draft in round one.

What we want don't matter to the Jones's.

My question is who do you think they draft?

I think the want either Will Johnson or T. McMillan. Both potential All Pros IMO. Both look like studs Both position dire needs. We got Lamb and Bland and not much behind them. Diggs could be done as an NFL player IMO.

I would be very ok with either. Johnson would be electric playing next to Bland. McMillan is the type of outside receiver they have needed in forever
Jeanty. I've mentioned my reasons before

If we resign Osa, the guy i would love to see is Kenneth Grant, DT Michigan, 6'3" 339. Shut down that run game. It wouldn't break my heart to see them go DT twice in the draft after resigning Osa. Take your team weakness and turn it into a strength
Exactly. Taking one DT (or signing one in free agency but we know that isn't an option) is a must, but taking two is the smart move assuming there are guys out there that we like when we are on the clock and I think there will be and that assumes we sign Osa. If we don't then two becomes a must. Mazi has just flat out stunk so far. Every year there is a different guy we wait on to break out in year 2 or 3 and it seldom happens once you get beyond year 2. It's not like how Parcells meant it when a lot of early picks barely played their first year. Mazi certainly might end up a player but if you build your roster assuming it will happen you are an absolute moron.based on how he has played so far. The move to me is to sign a good free agent DT, resign Osa if it's reasonable and then grab a DT early. Year after year after year we struggle against the run and we keep ignoring the position or drafting busts at DT. The two things are 100% related.

That's my guy. Now watch all the mocks move him up. Always funny when that happens after the pads come off...
I have a feeling Jeanty goes b4 pick 12.
If so, I strongly consider DB over all DT's not named Graham at 12.

If they take the highest rated defender on their board at #12 and again in every single round I will be ecstatic no matter the player or the position. I'd love to add a really good WR and OL, but if they drafted defense every single pick I honestly wouldn't complain. There is no 2025 SB in our future so let's build the team knowing that and just get this thing pointed in the right direction. I'd bring in a bunch of new players on defense and cut at least one safety and both if they draft or sign one in free agency. We could legit add 3 DTs, and edge, 2 LBs and 2 safeties and still need more depth on defense. I'd make Dak earn the contract he bent the team over for on his side of the ball this year. Maybe sign Rico and add an OL and/or a WR in free agency. Then in 2026 we turn back to offense and get some players for that side of the ball. WE need to stop building to just be a little better than the year before. We need to start building a championship roster

I have always thought that if you want to contend, you need at least one elite unit. Our defense has a better chance to get there quickly than our offense. We have the hardest things to find....an elite pass rusher, two good corners, and a super active LB(when I Overshown gets back)....So what else do you need to make that an elite unit? A ball hawk safety, a tough veteran MLB, and (for this team) 2 run stuffing DT's and an Athletic 3T. That sounds like a lot, but bring back Osa and spend your first 3 picks on 2 DTs and a S, resign Jourdan Lewis and a vet MLB in FA...none of that is breaking the bank

Mican really is the key to the entire team because he makes everyone better on that side of the ball. It was crazy how much better we looked once he came back. But, Overshown was the real guy who could have helped take us to the next level. Not because he was as good as Micah, but because he came out of nowhere and gave us a second dynamic player to add to Micah. Once we started trusting him and letting him just ball out, you could see the big play potential. Liufau looks like a decent starter as well. Kneeland, Butler, Sam Williams, one or two of the young safeties all look like they could contribute in a rotation at least. Like you said, get those DTs and at least one safety and our CBs healthy and everything can fall into place. One of the reasons I want to unload one or both safeties is because we can sign free agents and backload their contracts and cut Wilson and/or Hooker and it will barely impact our cap for a few years but we could significantly improve our play.

I have no confidence in this team doing anything in 2025 but if they are smart they can set themselves up to really compete in 2026 and after 2026 Dak is either playing really well or you move on from that contract.

Agree with this year as a rebuild for sure. The players are there if they want to make this a top 5 D. They would need Osa and Lewis back. Then draft, say, Barron or Starks round 1, Alfred Collins in round 2 and Deone Walker in round 3, sign a vet like Bobby Wagner or, if you want one impact guy from outside, Nick Bolton from KC...and as soon as Overshown gets back, you have a beast D. Stuffing the run would put teams in obvious passing situations and unleash our great pass rush
