Tyquan Thorton has put on 18 lbs of muscle. He's making a real effort to stay in New England and has actually been one of the top three WR in camp so far. Nothing spectacular, but has been better than he's ever been, especially in the short range and across the middle. He's somewhere between 208 and 212, up from 190 at the end of 2023.

Nothing spectacular, but has been better than he's ever been, especially in the short range and across the middle. He's somewhere between 208 and 212, up from 190 at the end of 2023.

Not that unusual for a gifted athlete to be overwhelmed at the pros.
Some rise to the occasion while some sink into mediocrity.
Which he will do remains to be seen but he is putting in the work.

Whatever his weight, his performance is improving and that could be good news.

I think the weight matters a lot. Being fast but one dimensional can be defended with schemes and techniques. Adding the ability to thrive on more of the field adds unpredictability which reduces the likelihood of picking the night scheme or technique.
