My wife informed me that break dancing is not part of the 2028 Olympics in LA which is surprising to me. Didn't break dancing originate in the States?

Yep. More of New York thing at first but later practiced in LA. As chronicled in the twin documentaries " Beat Street" and "Breakin'"
