1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, produced by Roone Arledge. Best ever. Incredible camera management and switching to jump from one sport to another without missing anything. Then they went to the all-announcers, all the time mode with more emphasis on the studios than the athletes. Sucked ever since.

I don't know why people are so fixated on things that have no impact on their daily lives. Yet a lot of these same people couldn't care less about voting for a guy who helped overturn Roe v Wade and wants to strip away even more freedoms if he wins a second term That is what people should be focused on.
