a QB ??
I think the Broncos want both - more picks and Nix. Bringing in Zach Wilson - is a failsafe -and I think a pretty good one for the price. Getting more picks - means the Broncos will be risking not getting Nix, but the Broncos need a bigger core team from the draft - than it needs a rookie QB. Either way - you are getting ready for next year as you might have $100 million in salary cap to spend.I think Denver realized the door slammed on the top 4 QB's (mostly McCarthy) want to move down and Nix is their Plan B but also know there is a risk involved in that. Thus they don't LOVE Nix enough just to use pick 12... So as insurance they made the Wilson claim. Plan C could be Rattler in the 3rd (Not to my excitement). With the thought that if you do take Rattler you aren't pressed to "not draft a QB next year", where as you basically you feel you have to give Nix two years. I think Nix is our hope in a trade down but we see the flip side of things if we were to miss out on him too.

ugh! Today will determine if we are 90% in for a painful year next year or not, IMO.
