Normal teams quietly sign their core players to extensions and seek to minimize drama. Jerry seems to regard signing his star players as part of the entertainment, and likes to drag it out until the last possible minute.

Jerry believes the Star on the helmet will make every player weak in the knees with excitement to be a part of. The lure of the 90's and early 2000's is no longer there but he hasn't caught on to that. I will give him credit in he has backed off when it comes to drafting over the last several years and they have drafted a lot of very talented players, but the negotiation side of things he is still living in the stone ages believing ownership/teams have all the power and the players should just bow down to their master and like it.

Yep, and then both run to social media. One saying, "Who the F is his agent?" which is just flat out disrespect, give me a fuckin' break Jerry, you don't know the #1 earning agent in the NFL? Fuck off. And then the other social media attention whore (even DLaw was like, "bitch get off social media and worry about winning games") is trying to do damage control when it begs the question, "Then why the fuck were you talking to Jerry in private in the first place?"

Whatever. Again, Jerry is being an ignorant douche, and Parsons is just a moron who is talented at football. Nothing is illegal here because you don't know the conversation. Obviously a contract cannot be signed until the agent agrees, but god only knows what that loser Jerry has poisoned Parsons' mind with right now... and Parsons could terminate the agent contract and negotiate without him (which would be a HORRIBLE move).

Well said... and these young College guys who are not always the most intelligent (talented at a sport no doubt) are easily corrupted by a much smarter business mind... hence the owner wanting to get these agents (who are intelligent and business savvy) as far out of discussion as possible.

It isn't that he said anything wrong. This more has to do with the fact that Parsons cannot stay off social media for anything that might be tied to him at all. I don't think his agent needs Parsons fighting his battles for him. To me this was one of the concerns when Parsons was going into his draft was that his ego is very fragile and these types of responses and the one he had towards his ex teammate is another one that just shows he struggles with this.
I hate the Cowboys more than most but I think you’re really reaching here.

This is a Jerry Jones problem. Jones should have this player locked up already. He probably could have had him for 35-36 million. Now he’s going to cost 40 million. I think Jones sabotages his own team.

Guys!
This is a 7-10 team, everyone has played in a conference championship game since Dallas. Lets not turn this thread into another Dallas thread. Focus on all the greatness of free agency for your teams and stop the Jerry promotions.

Jerry already has his jacket, he's NFL royalty.
FOCUS!

This is a total head scratcher. Milton plus a 7th to the Cowboys for a 5th round compensatory pick?

NE lost big on this deal. Milton was a 6th round pick last year with plenty of upside.

There must be another gentleman's hand shake deal maybe a draft day surprise.

Otherwise this made zero sense.

Just a fantastic move by the Cowboys and that isn't something said very often

Perhaps not losing big, but I immediately thought advantage Cowboys when they announced the trade details.

I stole these from google sourced.

The Patriots had Drake Maye as their starter and Joshua Dobbs as the backup, making Milton expendable.

The Patriots reportedly had a better offer for Milton but instead chose to send him to his desired destination. "My family grew up a Cowboys fan," Milton told Fox Sports on Thursday.

They Certainly did him a solid. I still have to think there is more to this story. Every ream keeps 3 QBs. Milton was certainly a quality #2 or #3. Why trade him for equal to lesser value? He's on a rookie contract. You know what he gives you without even looking at his potential. Sorry, I'm not buying the NE FO just have big hearts and giving him a chance. Something isn't adding up.

Lot lesser than everyone expected. I know some Seahawks fans are bitter about this, but how quickly we forget:

1) Sam is $18M cheaper this year and Seattle had dead cap to get rid of for other guys.
2) You got a mid 3rd round pick out of it. That SHOULD be a starter in 1-2 years.
3) Raiders like Seahawks are still on the hook for 2 years (both would be expensive to cut in 2026) so ???
4) Seattle has ANOTHER new OC, but the bright side is Kubiak/Darnold have worked together before.
5) Darnold is 28, 7 years younger. Maybe there's hope he is done seeing ghosts... although after the Rams tore his asshole out in the playoffs... maybe he's curled up in the fetal position every night. :noidea:

Either way, Geno is capped out. Sam is not technically, but it's a 1 year wonder for now. Geno doesn't solve anything at this point - he's not going to any team and going deep in the playoffs. Is Sam? I would give a VERY HIGH probability of NO, but there's a slim chance? And if he doesn't and reverts to PacMan in 2025, then you're right back in the same f'in position of needing to draft a QB anyway... so who cares? Least you found a way to get some more cap and draft picks to help build around the new guy.

I don't know why some Seahawks fans/analysts are pissed we bailed from Geno.

Maybe they saw a possible controversy brewing.

I mean, they guy has had one good game against a team's backups who did not care if they won. what did you think they'd get for him?
