It is not smart paying a RB to play QB
That RB had more passing TDs and passing yards per game than Watson last year, just to be clear. Glass houses...

I think it would be a bad move. Giving up more picks, already have limited picks then paying him $20M+
I'm not sold he can be a #1. They do have Thielen there for another year at least but Higgins will be the guy after that.
You're probably right but only if they spend the big money and the draft picks on 4 starters. Raise the floor of the team.I think it would be a bad move. Giving up more picks, already have limited picks then paying him $20M+

And the long storied tradition of signing washed up Packer players continues.
I joke but it is kind of true. It virtually every other offseason that we do it.
2024 - Jones
2023 - Lowry
2022 - Zadarius
I think we skipped a couple of years there but it goes back all the way to Favre and before.
Funny how Dalvin last year at $7M was a bridge too far but they are willing to jump at Jones this year. At least you can see that they are learning from their obvious mistakes.
This would be stupid with the crazy talented WR class. Carolina is still a long away from contending
Cinci not releasing Mixon.
Trading him to the Texans.
Maybe Detroit isn't in on Hunter after the Davenport signing.
I am interested where Hunter goes. Maybe his price goes down the longer we wait
Noteboom is a G, right?Rams still have a need at Edge, would need to open up some more cap space via a Stafford restructure and/or a Donald extension but have those options available to create plenty of room. Could still be cutting Noteboom as well.
They going for it in the next few years.I love what Atlanta is doing. Price seems steep though
Noteboom is a pass-blocking only LT who has previously been pressed into playing G, (mostly unsuccessfully), and RT, (decent - but not quality starter level) . Based on his limited time at LT the Rams gave him an extension for $12M in each of the 1st 2 years and $15M in year 3, (2024). He isn't going to win the LT job ahead of Alaric Jackson and the Rams won't be retaining him at $15M. He has been offered a back-up value contract, which he hasn't yet signed. I would estimate his market value to be just under $4M. He is a 6th OL. If he is starting for you then you are looking for his replacement. If he isn't starting you're unhappy at paying such money for a back-up. I expect him to be released very early into the new NFL year.Noteboom is a G, right?
This can't possibly be an actual thing can it? Can't even read this guy without roiling your eyes sometimes. Why sign Fields when you already have him?
If his price gets to around a 5th or a 6th I’d do it. QB is the premier position in the league and you need two. Additionally, this is a Bears prospect. That’s one of the worst organizations in the NFL. There’s a high likelihood the problem isn’t so much Fields. I’d be on board with rehabilitating the asset. However, I’m not offering more than a 5th or 6th.That's an awful lot of money to dedicate to the QB position.
When did Hurts have a “bad season”?Lucky for Hurts. He is getting $50M/yr and played in a way better offense with more playmakers with a slightly better QBR. I guess if Hurts has one more bad season he is a backup too or maybe he can switch to RB
Got it. Eagles should fully guarantee the contract of a lesser player AFTER he’s outted as a dude who sexually assaults women. It is not smart paying a RB to play QB
