I can't imagine the Browns trading Garrett to the Eagles. Their picks suck
Could be true. At the same time, I don’t know what a team like the Raiders are doing resigning a Crosby. A 35 million dollar player on a team that’s rebuilding is a luxury. Most teams that think they’re just one Myles Garrett away is going to be picking late too.

agree....hoping another Dan Snyder type out there who wants to make a splash move or 3 with a bad to middling team IF we were to move him.

Id imagine the Raiders dont think they're rebuilding. Titans maybe. Patriots maybe.

The Raiders have a decent D overall I think, and Crosby is one of the premiere edge rushers in the NFL, so I get them resigning him. The Raiders need a QB and a better rushing attack, if they had that they would be an okay team IMO. Their main challenge is being in a division with 3 very good teams right now.

Good points....only thing I might push back on some is to me only team I have a lot of confidence can be really good again next year in their division is KC.

This is a mold breaking move from Howie Roseman and the Eagles two years in a row. They have never paid RBs and LBs. Last year it was bringing Barkley in and this year it’s resigning Baun.

I like Sweat but I think whoever signs him may be in an overpay situation, my team included. He’s coming off a high profile playoffs and a Super Bowl with 2.5 sacks. He had a rough 2023 but a nice bounce back 2024.
Almost a guarantee that he gets overpaid. However, even at his baseline he is a solid to very good #2 option. I would happily overpay to put that on the otherside of Hutchinson instead of Davenport, Cominsky, or Onwuzerike.

Especially when I don't know if McNeil is even healthy next year. If Sheppard plans to scheme like Glenn did a good second option is a desperate need.

Yeah I’m officially out on any Garrett trade after this haha

Its an interesting strategy. Sign the best RB and LB to big contracts under the assumption that the position is undervalued.

I think the Broncos and Chargers will be good again next year - Broncos have a top tier D and I think Nix is going to be a strong franchise QB for the Broncos, the Broncos main needs are RB and TE. Chargers I’m a little less sold on but they have a lot of solid players and are usually at least decent.

That could be it. I think they have the luxury to pay Baun here for a couple of reasons:
1. He more than just holds down the position. He causes turnovers which can wreck games.
2. The Eagles are so young elsewhere on the defense that they don’t have to pay guys right now who play major roles.
3. Nakobe Dean’s knee injury in the playoffs and surgery are a concern for next year. Needed at least one guy you can count on in Fangio’s system that puts a ton on the LBs.

Its funny because KC is likely closer to being a rebuilding team than the others. The team as/is probably falls to .500 unless they make some moves although Im glad the assumption is that they will make those moves and Mahomes is inevitable.

Oh yeah....both of those things can happen. But there have been teams for which I had more confidence than those 2 that have sh** the bed before (hell, my team is one). I have more confidence in LAC than I do Denver. Not all that sold on Nix.

Yeah until they start falling with Mahomes tough to think they will for me.

as mentioned, when it comes to Denver, not sold at all on Nix and think they could be a one year wonder. More faith in LAC.

I think Nix is good, he had a very good rookie season, 3700 yards and 29 TDs passing, that’s good for a rookie especially considering the Broncos mediocre rushing game (their leading rusher had only 513 yards, that’s not good). I am interested to see how Nix does, it’s possible he regresses some in his second year but I think the Broncos have found their franchise QB. The Chargers always seem to choke in big games so I have less confidence in them, but they have a lot of good talent.

For sure I could be totally wrong about him...and nothing against the kid so hope I am.

Much as it pains me to say I also like Harbaugh more as a coach than I do Peyton.

I will always have a personal disdain for Sean Payton because of Bountygate and I despise the Saints overall, and yeah I think Harbaugh is a better coach, he’s been very successful at the pro and college level, I think Payton‘s main success was due to Brees and even then the Saints seemed to underperform, I think the should’ve made more than 1 Super Bowl with an all time great QB like Brees there for 15 years.

Big thing to factor in is that Tyreek Hill is a Hall of Fame talent they were able to flip, Travis Kelce and Chris Jones are Hall of Fame talents likely on their last year. They had to let an All Pro Guard walk for salary purposes. Chiefs GM has done an excellent job of raising the floor around the great players but there might not be much greatness on the Chiefs next year

You know your team better than me that's for sure.....but Belichick in my opinion a pretty bad GM and was able to keep it rolling as long as he had Brady. Feel like Veach is better than him so as long as Mahomes can be Mahomes?

do agree with you about Chargers...they could be good to really good again.
