Sarcastic F-wad
Day 1 of the draft was 7/14 (maybe I should have used 7/16 instead?).I think you had calculated about 16 days when I first posted about it?

???5th-rder Jakob Christian signs w/@SFGiants for $397,500 (slot 149 = $453,300). @USDBaseball OF, WCC player of the year after batting .364/.460/.828 with 26 HR, big raw power. @MLBDraft
They have now signed all top 10 picks from this year's draft class.
Apparently, so. According to the draft tracker, he signed for $2M???
Did they get Jordan? I haven’t heard anything.
I have had that page open since the draft and constantly updating it. I even updated it before I posted my comment asking if he had signed, and it wasn’t there yet. So this is BRAND NEW news!Apparently, so. According to the draft tracker, he signed for $2M
He had leverage (being a redshirt sophomore). I guess he was eager to start his professional career.I just found a reference to his signing from about the time of the Soler trade. It just didn’t get much traction in the Giants-verse, for obvious reasons.
I am just SHOCKED that he signed for under 2nd Rd $$. It makes no sense to me, but I will take it.
Than why were the Giants the only team to know this? He was projected as a high 2nd rounder going into the draft, yet he dropped to the mid-4th. Why?He had leverage (being a redshirt sophomore). I guess he was eager to start his professional career.

this will sound sarcastic but not meant to be... Maybe they did their Homework.... This Time Ouch CalThan why were the Giants the only team to know this? He was projected as a high 2nd rounder going into the draft, yet he dropped to the mid-4th. Why?
They got it done, and no other team did. So either they missed the cancerous tumor that every other team saw, or they actually talked to him and found that he wanted to play while every other team just assumed he wouldn’t sign.this will sound sarcastic but not meant to be... I read somewhere that it was always unlikely they would sign UreIt looks like the only player they didn’t sign was 19th rounder Ryan Ure. 20th rounder Fernando Gonzalez is still listed as unsigned on the MLB Draft Tracker, but he is listed on the SF Giants transaction site.
Conservative for Tibbs and Dakota. But again, I assume there are HR issues at play here as well.James Tibbs, Dakota Jordan and Jakob Christian have all been assigned to the ACL team.
It is weird that Hipwell goes straight to San Jose but Tibbs and Jordan go to the ACL. However, I don't think it is the first time the Giants have put lower round guys at a more advanced level than higher picks right away.Conservative for Tibbs and Dakota. He attended all his HR seminars and got the appropriate key fobs.Tibbs got promoted about a week ago to San Jose without appearing in a game in the ACL.
