As promised here's a listing of some of the 6' 4" QBs of late and their weight as currently listed and when they participated in the NFL draft combine. I'm providing this list so that you guys who have concerns about Jayden Daniels's weight can make comparisons for yourselves.

Jayden Daniels is 6' 4" and 210 pounds (Combine wt. ????)

Tom Brady Current 6-4¼, 225 (Combine 6’ 4” 211)

Joe Burrow Current 6’4” 215 (Combine 6’3” 221)

Jordan Love Current 6’ 4” 219 (Combine 6’ 4’ 224)

Matt Ryan Current 6’4” 220 (Combine 6’5” 220)

Alex Smith Current 6’4” 215 (Combine 6’ 4” 213)

Ryan Tannehill Current 6’4” 217 (Combine 6’ 4” 221)

Jared Goff Current 6’ 4” 217 (Combine 6’ 4” 215)

Marcus Mariota Current 6’ 4” 221 (Combine 6’ 4” 222)

Davis Mills Current 6’ 4” 225 (Combine 6’3 3/4″ 217 pounds)

Part of Daniels game is running though…that is what scares some With his weight.

I know it's early, but I just have a hard time believing Ben would tell Adam he needs Daniels over Maye.

His offense is based on play-action. The QB is under center more than any other offense in the league. Maybe because he has Goff.

Assuming Ben gets the job of course.

If you are going to use a lot of play action (which I believe in) you have to have a QB that can play from under center. You are correct. I would think McDonald would be the coach more likely to play a style like Lamar does although he is on the other side of the ball.

Yeah, I think Slowik and MacDonald would both vouch for Jayden.

What I would want to know is if Ben has just molded his offense around Goff's skill set and if given the opportunity would love to have Jayden.

Maybe there is a world where Ben tells Peters, if you give me Jayden, I'll be able to do so much more and really open up this offense.

If Ben gets the job I'm sure stuff like that will be discussed.

So far it appears Jayden needs patience and from what I hear, Maye needs help with his mechanics and footwork.
All have pluses and minuses

I think Slowik coming from the Shanahan tree would be more inclined for Maye as well. They all run the same offense which calls for play action passes which means the QB playing under center a fair amount.

We are all guessing. We need to chill and let these guys evaluate everything. I know, not easy to do.

All young QBs need coaching in certain areas ... unless you are Marino or Stroud.

The disdain some folks have for Drake Maye is baffling!

Excuses:
-Don’t draft UNC QB’s
-ACC sucks
-He lost to Virginia
-He’s Sam Howell

Truth:
-6’4” 230
-big
-‘23 adj comp % of 77.7
- adj comp % of 57 on throws over 20(2nd in CFB)
- 119 QB rating on deep passes(10th best)
