Anything is possible, but big risk also means a possible loss in getting him. If they could be assured that no other team would trade up to 2 or 3 then yeah. Btw: if there's going to be a trade down, the new GM has a history of moving down one slot, not two.
if you trade down you have to believe that all 3 top qbs are of equal value . if you dont believe that then dont do it because you in fact will be passing at a better prospect for a lesser one

i would say he is 4th or 5th best , and he is more then stature if you watch the tape . , but daniels is growing on me and when i watch his tape , i think he is a good prospect . his AZ tape is what sells me
Everyone is entitled to their own ranking and I respect anyone who has taken the time to make these evaluations. If you see him as the 4th or 5th best, that's fine but the real fun doesn't begin until long after the draft and what the organizations do with them.
While I'm not very excited about the organizational changes, there's a better than average chance that the new one, unlike the old one, will do what's necessary to have its player's in the best possible position to succeed!

No problem, I stand by what I wrote concerning how people rank them.

Dean, I say this with great respect for what you're suggesting here, but there's a vast difference between getting "A QB" and "The QB!" Washington has always had a QB, and I know factually that they haven't gotten the QB since Snyder bought the team.

i meant the QB they want. It depends what grades they have on maye and Daniels. If the grade is the same then you take the trade.

I understand, but if they grade QBs that they must draft early on the same level as one that they can get later, there's a disconnect in their evaluation process, wouldn't you agree?
This has been Washington's MO for years now... trade down and get another player for the same position later! How has that worked out? Beyond that, if the grading system was that flawed, why have one at all? While there have certainly been plenty of instances where good players are found in later rounds, the hit/miss rate on QBs is at its greatest early in round one. That ratio gets more uneven the further down in the draft you go.

I'll post something a little later for those who are concerned about his (Daniels) size. Right now it's snow shoveling time, so see you guys later!

Exactly! We'll also see about Harris, Johnson and the entire new organizational structure.
I am more anxious to see how the front office unfolds as well. I find it strange that the building still includes Marty, Mayhew among others.

Yeah, I understand the excitement over the change but this group has to show their championship mettle!
