He fired the OC...so that might have saved him. It's being reported that these firings mean Fields is getting traded. No "nails" in DC. Lol
It was reported in Chicago last week that if the QB coach and OC get fired that means Fields is gone. Could be wrong, but heard that on 980 about an hour ago.He fired the OC...so that might have saved him.
I am running around like a chicken with it's head cut off this morning but Junkies had a PFF guy who said he has Williams and Maye rated higher than Joe Burrow.
The ideal situation for Washington would be one in which Chicago or another team that traded into the #1 spot, takes Maye. It's early.

I'm trying to keep an open mind with Maye. I'm no expert. I gotta trust the new GM. If Peters or whomever wants Maye, I'll get behind it.The ideal situation for Washington would be one in which Chicago or another team that traded into the #1 spot, takes Maye.
We already have a young QB that is gun shy. We Don’t need two. Pass on Penix with the second pick. Second round? Maybe. So that means he wouldn't play well against NFL defenses with even better players. What QB has succeeded in the NFL while ducking while throwing.?
If I were the Skins GM, I'd be taking a QB at 2 and then watching the best OTs that fall into the 20's, and then I might use those extra picks in the 2nd and 3rd to move up and ensure I get one of them--thereby filling 2 of the team's biggest needs.
First, I think the Bears are going to take Williams at 1st overall and move on from Fields. Second, There is no way in hell I'd give up that much to move up 1 spot, particularly if I was the Skins.
That's a great question. IF, that is a very big IF, Johnson think Howell is good enough and/or will develop into someone good enough, then you just about have to take either Harrison at WR (likely) or Fashanu at LT (less likely). There are no other realistic choices at that spot. Still, I think Johnson would much rather have Maye than Howell. We'll see how it turns out.
