I was thinking about using the Chase Young pick to move up into the late first. Depends on what happens in FA regarding the holes.

Stromberg was drafted as a center. Not penciled in but he should have the edge unless we bring in a good vet. I dont think we will draft a center in round 2. If we draft a OG in round 2 or 3 im sure he will compete with Wylie for LG. Plus we have Daniels the 4th rounder from last year for depth.. Henry and A rod werent high draft picks.

We will definitely replace 2 olineman this year. I can see 3 but I would understand if they addressed other areas first. Yes Wylie was a disaster at RT, but i was moving him to LG and have Smith as the LT and Morgan the last first round draft pick the RT.

I agree no one should be given any starting job b./c of draft status.
You are going to have more faith in the rivera drafts than I will.

With a rookie qb, you must have an experienced Center starting. Free agency has decent options at Center, Guard and RT. I am not sure how Peter wants to use free agency though.

I would be confused if other areas were addressed first because it's the most glowing need on the team. 4 new OLinemen would be ideal but it's not realistic. Cutting Leno and gates speaks volumes to me.

I am not a fan of bringing in Smith as I would like to solidify the OLine and not just bring in stop gaps.

Agreed, 30 seems about right.

Our roster is worse than people think I fear.

We can't undo 4 years of mismanagement in one offseason though. Not sure what peters and newmark have planned.

All I know is that the OLine has to be fixed at some point. I am not sure on the approach, but it must happen. If not, the rookie qb will get destroyed. I am sure peters knows this.

so if we take a qb at #2 we need a good, experienced LT and that would be Smith. FA wise. I think we spend on DE, LB and Smith in FA. Yes a RT and OG can be found in FA. I just don't think we will get a top OT in the draft if we stand pat in the 2nd round. I hope they drop.

There are 10 starting caliber OTs in this draft , we can get one

You may have to stop gap at some positions , in fact we will but where?

Agree 100%

I would prefer those NOT be on the OLine but we might not have a choice.
I believe the OLine free agent class is better than some think.

Pro Bowlers don't grow on trees. I also don't see any LT long term solutions in free agency.

I still think we need a minimum of 3 new OLinemen with 4 being ideal. I think we have to tap into free agency.

I would love to pick up Cushenberry at Center and Onwenu at RT would be instant upgrades and come in Day 1 and help. There again, I have no clue how Peters wants to attach free agency OR how much these players want.

I think this is a solid draft and we can find help at OLine in those mid rounds as well.

My main thing I am not interested in panic moves to draft for need . We need as much young talent as we can get . If I can’t get a starting OT in this draft but I get a center am I going to be mad. ? I don’t want to trade 2 prospects to get only one

I love the comment!

We need about 30 players like you said.

I think some 6th and 7th rounders from the 2024 draft class COULD play significant time. Peters is a great talent evalualtor along with Newmark.

Again, this is a crappy roster. Rivera did us NO favors at all. He had no clue how to build a roster IMO. He played fantasy football and relied on nepotism to get the job done. It was a terrible look.
