Canes showing some fight, stave off elimination and make it a 3-1 series. Still think the Panthers take this one but in a do or die situation the Hurricanes pulled it off.

Way more than I can say for LA when G5 and G6 came around, they just rolled over.

Ya, I dont see Canes coming out of this one. I expected more of a contest but nope....same with Dallas really....Rantanen is fine when he get 5 points a game, but then hes gone for awhile. Stankoven is a guy I like a lot, maybe a t5 guy i would want on my team if i was building a team. He just plays PO hockey as good as anyone. Never stops even when Canes getting worked....cant teach that.

And that's the attitude that needs to change within the organization. Too many guys complacent with losing. Hoping Holland changes that.

Guys I want to see leave for that attitude are Buster, Anderson.

Ya, i would add Kuz...he was more confused than anything and I get it so was I, but hes a headcase. I get he worked and worked well, but he showed why he bounces around. Hes that chick everyone says is crazy and you bang her a couple times and think shes not that bad.....boom you got flat tires and your dog is missing.

If they go after Marner, i would like to see them secretly look at moving Fiala....dont need 2 of them and the Bitch has shown way more production

I don't think he will be retained, like many of the Kings that polish wore off when the POs started. He does great in year one wherever he is but after that it's a mixed bag.

It's even better Bowlby isn't here, he would have absolutely given him some exorbitant contract just because he had a great 15 games.

That does mean LA needs a T6 player but it seems we are saying that every year. They are always a player short somehow. Curious what Holland does.

I'd rather keep Fiala, he is cost controlled, actually showed up in the POs and plays bigger than his size. The Fialas drastically went down this season, no need for Marner at nearly double what Fiala makes.

I would also rather Fiala over Marner. I dont mind the Fialas as much as everyone else, mostly because I believe he is trying to do too much as there is a lack of high end skill in LA. Even Kopistar who is probably the best King of all time does not match Fiala in that regard....I know some will blast me, its difficult to really articulate exactly what I mean. The Kings really need to strength down the middle, if not addressed we will really see that exploited this season.

Edmonton being outplayed but they're 2 for 2 on the PP and Dallas having just as much trouble as LA and Vegas had.

At around 11 minute mark of 2nd period, Draisaitl gets tossed from the face-off dot, and I swear he's making a jerking off motion at the linesman. He's shaking his glove off his hand at him at the very least. Really crazy move.

I seriously don't know if Edmonton is that good or that lucky. Dead serious.

Seems like everything goes their way, not even talking about the refs. Dallas in trouble but I think Florida will wipe them out again if they make it and not talking 7 games.

I get it man, he is a very unique player. I'm more than willing to deal with the Fialas because of what else he brings to the game.

Agree on down the middle, Kopitar is old, Dunno can't score and Buster isn't good at center. He's definitely becoming a complimentary player and not a core player. Turcotte is nothing more than a B6 player and there is no one in the pipeline who looks like a 1C.

Were I Holland, my needs are a legitimate 1C, a LHD who can move the puck and a snarly D who messes people up.

Damn...reading what.I wrote makes me realize how far away the Kings really are from contending.

Dallas just doesnt look that interested. Even goalie pulled they all just kinda looking at each other to make a play, meanwhile everyone on edm is attacking and making anything happen

They were right there...they lost to the eventual WC champs.

Robitaille, probably.

TA made a 2025 PO All Bust Team and two Kings made it unfortunately. They picked goalies, forwards, defensemen, coach and GM.

Some other guys are Matthews, Necas, Hellebuyck, etc.

Drew Doughty, Kings

His comeback from injury was a great story, and there were times during the season when the 35-year-old looked like his younger, Norris-contending self. Those moments were few and far between in the postseason, with the Kings mostly underwater during his five-on-five minutes by just about every available metric, including plain old goals (where he was a minus-7 for the series). It’s the top-heavy Oilers, we get it, but the Kings needed more.Coach and GM

No question this guy made the list...

Jim Hiller, Kings

Maybe the easiest pick for this whole roster. We’re probably at the point where the “One no-hope challenge cost the Kings the entire series” narrative is a bit overdone. But it was a series turning point, without question. It’s tough to go back and read Eric’s piece from after that game, in which everyone acknowledges that Hiller’s mistake could flip the series. It did, and while it wasn’t the Kings’ only problem, it’s a moment that nobody’s going to forget anytime soon.

Dont be sad Kings fans, Jill did nothing wrong and he would do everything the same....because EGO!

He's got one year to prove he learned and be better, I'm curious what he will do - systems, in game management, personnel deployment, etc. We don't have a choice with him being retained.

Guess we will find out come October. If he runs it back to decisions in 2024-25 the Kings and their fans are in big trouble.

Some of it I get, how do you tell DD8 to sit the fuck down? He started losing me when the bench would get shortened after mid way through 1st period it seemed. Then of course playing back....personally I think hes a closet Oiler fan, nobody can fuck up that much by accident.

The Oiler mole...

You're right though, he clearly didn't have confidence (or he just wanted to run everyone else into the ground) in L4 until Doughty returned but then again when the POs started. Watching the other teams left they have rolled all four lines even late into games with 5:00 or less remaining.

For all this "depth" the Kings pushed all season long it sure wasn't used properly.

Totally Doughty from many years ago which was hilarious as well. Good view of it here.

Looks like someone broke Hyman, surgery and out for the remainder of the POs. I'll show myself out now.

Didn't seem like anything crazy but sounds like a broken wrist or something. I saw the hit, it was a fly by and nothing bad at all. Reminds me of Jeannot, nothing weird at all but ended his season.

Don't like seeing players injured no matter who they are or how much I may not like them or their team but this helps whoever plays Edmo in the SCFs (Dallas not looking likely to go, Florida is). Hyman is a good player, and I believe Holland signed him away from TO when he was in Edmonton.

If it's a SCF repeat of last season I can't wait to see guys like Bennett, Marchand, Ekblad, etc just harrass the hell out of Edmonton.

They're good. How they've held it down in the 3rd has been crazy. Stars behind and Oilers have held them to 4 and 3 shots in the last two games during the 3rd periods. I don't totally understand the Skinner stuff though. He actually looks comfortable and really good out of nowhere, which doesn't make sense.

But Stars also just don't score very many goals. They're like 2-8 in games where opponent scores 3. Something crazy like that.

Oilers’ Zach Hyman likely to miss rest of playoffs after surgery - The Athletic Oilers’ Zach Hyman likely to miss rest of playoffs after surgery

Hyman probably out for remainder of playoffs. They say big loss, but Perry basically does what he was doing on the PP, and he's having a pretty down year. Except for hitting apparently, which he's been trying to do a lot of. I can't imagine that has nothing to do with his arm/shoulder injury. He got hit, but I mean wear and tear overall.
