Wild finish in the Caps Canes series, GW goal basically scored with 2:00 left. I think the Caps overachieved all season riding the Ovechkin goals chase full of emotions, the Canes just come at you wave after wave. Ex Kings Roy, Dowd and PLD out of the bracket, Canes just the better team. Second ECF appearance in three years.

Hellebuyck pulling his Jeckyl and Hyde scam, he played lights out to keep the Jets alive for a G6. I think Dallas takes it though and if Hellebuyck has a rough game his image will get tarnished yet again for not winning the big game. But who knows, that didn't seem to hurt Lundqvist and his reputation and he landed a good analyst gig so there's that too.

Need Dallas to win stat so the Oilers can't heal up too much.

I actually never really thought Matthews played bad, and though he doesn't score goals, he's still putting up a point per game. But watching Game 5, he was also a nightmare. Blind behind the back passes to noone. Sloppy. And Tkatchuk was just jawing and hounding him. I feel like Nylander only one with any fight. Even Tavares, who used to make plays in the playoffs, makes me forget he's even there.

Leafs have the most put up or shut up chance in Game 6 still. Reminds me of Kings heading back to Edmonton. Like as unlikely as it might be, it's a 3-2 series and maybe they can get a big win. I need to send this video of Steve Dangle losing his mind after Leafs loss. Dude wolfing down Cheetos as he goes player by player he doesn't want back from the Leafs. Comments are so much like LA. "How do you win the first two, then go and lose the next four?!?!".

Spot on. Exactly why I say the Kings play Nice Guy Hockey.

Just watching various games through both rounds so far, there have been so many after whistle scrums, shoving matches, punches, cheap shots, goalies getting barreled over, etc. but that didn't happen during the Kings Oilers.

The Kings just sat there and took it, the Oilers did all of the above. Dumbo once said something to the effect of every army needs a few criminals and it couldn't be more true with this group the Kings have assembled.

Even Arvidsson was out there sticking and jabbing, cross checked Gavrikov in the face with no call or retaliation or defense of a teammate. I don't recall him doing that when he was here so I'm going to say its definitely a Kings philosophy thing which just doesn't work in the POs.

Best PO game I've seen the Leafs play since 1993. Completely shut the Cats down. Watched Bennett closely, if the chatter is true that Holland is looking at him I absolutely approve, Kings need a player like him.

Being TO though I can see this being a set up, giving their fans hope and then getting the barn doors blown off in G7.

Sounds very familiar.

Was at the Doyer game so I didn't get to watch this one, initial thoughts when I saw the score was Hellebuyck choked but I watched highlights and some replay and he actually played well.

Feel bad for Scheifele for his father, lot of guts to play hours after a death like that. You could also tell the ref really didn't want to give the Stars a PS with time almost expiring but that was such a blatant trip by Scheifele they had to call something.

Florida up 3-0 on TO un G7, hoping they can close this out which leaves one Canadian team left in Edmonton, I think Dallas wins this round. Much better team than LA, so much talent mostly drafted. Take note Yanetti, they have two 1D in Heiskenen and Harley, Kings don't even have one. Kings drafting is awful.

As long as no Canadian team wins for yet another year I'll be happy.

Oil fans should thank Jill, he single handedly gave the Oilers their confidence and swagger back. Its why I kept saying LA was done. You cant give great players any glimmer of hope because they will try to grab it.

If this ECF is going to be like how it's been in the first 15 minutes, holy hell are we in for a treat.

Panthers absolutely smoked the Canes, the TNT guys were all saying a fresh Hurricanes team will take this one.

Sometimes too much time off between series creates rust, clearly happened with Carolina while Florida played two days ago and are firing on all gears. This was my fear in 2012 when the Kings rolled everyone quickly but they didnt miss a beat between rounds.

Hoping Edmo has massive rust tomorrow having had a week.off. Drawback is they've also had time to heal, wouldn't be surprised at all to hear Ekholm is in tomorrow for G1.

Dallas just put up 5 goals in the 3rd to comeback on Edmonton. Down 3-1 heading into the 3rd. Three straight power play goals early in the period. Refs finally calling stuff on Oilers and Dallas actually making them pay. Interesting to see how big and mobile Dallas is, as they are just hounding and hitting Edmonton all over. Usually seeing Edmonton wear teams down in the 3rd.
