Loyalty = take advantage of rules that allow you to sign a ridiculous extension and before said extension even kicks in you’re demanding a trade.

Dame played the game too. Fuck this Dame is loyal shit. He benefited from the rule with zero intention of staying.
Fuck you

I think he had every intention of staying but Portland didnt deliver on their end

@Mecca bwahahaha! It’s the silly season. I’m doing this shit in a heart beat. Neither the Blazers nor the Clippers are.

Bwahahaha! Deliver what? There was nothing that could be done with that roster. Dame was just playing public relations.

I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. Dame was never not signing that contract though.

Supposedly they ran Every deal past dame

So once again, players are also shitty gms

Lebron would be Isaiah Thomas if he couldn’t play for himself.

Cant be loyal to these teams. Just consistently sign 3 yr deals with player option after year 2
Im sure the owners would love this as well
They want out if these deals just as .uch as players do sometimes as well

Philly gets the best value

But that’s better than what the heat are offering for dame imo

True. At the same time, we all know that and that’s why if Dame wants Miami he was gonna say Miami only. Put together nearly any team’s package and it beats what Miami is willing to give. That deal really sucks for the Clippers though. It turns 6 players into 2.

Keep Mann and I think they do it too

You’d have to find 10 million more in salary to ship out of the Clippers then. With Harden’s kicker and Harris salary Clippers need to shed 80 million to take on 80 million. They are right up against it luxury cap wise and they can’t take on even an extra dollar through trade. Personally, I think you try and work this with them taking PJ Tucker instead of Harris. That makes it more doable for the Clippers and they can keep their choice of either Powell or Mann.
