Looking at the photo of Jalen Williams he is not following the Harden off-season routine

As the article noted, drug test forthcoming lol.

The first 3 really had no business playing in the summer league. 1st round picks with heavy usage the year prior?

Wemby is a freshly drafted rookie, makes sense. Christie was a 2nd round pick with limited PT last year, makes sense (and I was almost expecting him to get shut down after his performances at the Cali Classic).

That's all well and good, but Portland shouldn't trade $100 for $50 just because that's the best offer. Dame can stay where he is until there is a valid offer.

The path has always been the same

Trading Herro for assets as part of a 3 team deal

I would imagine the haggling is over Martin and jovic

Leonard Miller is showing that he should have gone near the lottery. His shooting after 2 games is clearly an outlier, but it makes me hopeful he can the 3 a part of his game over a couple of years. Dude has never ending hustle, and almost everything he has done is a positive on the floor. I am glad Wolves locked him up for 4 years.

They are still young players who should get credit for playing. Shows they are motivated to get better.

Jacquez maybe too. What is it, a month after signing the contract that rookies can be traded?

What is the market for Herro at this point? Doesn't seem like teams are lining up to give assets the Blazers would want.

Not questioning the players, but the teams. Why risk your foundational players that have already started to make their mark playing against future UPS drivers and foreign leaguers in Vegas?

Lakers locked up Maxwell Lewis to a 4 year deal too. Pelinka taking advantage of the Pelinka rule, finally lol! Bad enough that the Lakers will need to pay Christie next summer if/when he emerges in a bigger role this season. 2 year contracts for 2nd rounders that bring dividends are crippling.

Doubt Christie gets enough mpg this season to showcase his talent.

I was skeptical of the 4 year being effective before Naz Reid. I now see the value, Reid was end of rotation that bust his ass for 4 years to be a starter. The 4 years gave the wolves a chance to be part of his development and retain him with a well earned contract. With a 2 year he is probably gone after 2 for far less money.

It depends on the team's faith in the prospect. Lakers paid $4M to move up in the 2nd round targeting Lewis, so they better be ready with that 4 year contract lol.

It really doesn’t change that much.

Years 3 and 4 are typically not guaranteed anyway

Just means teams don’t have to dip into the mle.

Which makes sense since the league is trying to increase the value of draft picks again….

….because it saves the owners some money
