Just heard something I wasn’t aware of. Teams now have to be at 90 percent of the cap when the season starts. Before they had until seasons end. That is definitely something in the new cba that helps the players.

Rumor was Philly wasn’t including Maxey in any deal so that means Portland either gets Harden or another team takes Harden and gives assets to Portland. New York? I’m not sure any NY players makes sense for Portland unless they like RJ

The no Maxey thing may have been because at the time it looked like what’s the point as it looked like Miami Brooklyn or nothing. Why run the man’s name as trade bait when it’s not happening and then he has to come back and play for you?

Problem with portland is most teams are not going to give you one of their top 2 players because they want their top 2 to play with dame. Dont think they are comprehending that

Exactly. They need to temper their expectations a bit.

The team that's having to trade a star isn't going to get equal value. That's just how it works.

Doesn't mean they shouldn't try to get as much value back as they possibly can.

But they're not getting a star back unless it's something like Dame for Harden, which would essentially make them the same team as they were with Dame, only with a guy who's likely to quit on them.
