Hindsight is always 20/20. But when you assess a deal you can’t go back in time and say should have done this thing years ago. All you can do is assess what’s there now. People said Morey would get far less than James Harden for that asset.
And that’s how you assess who won a trade, no?
The Sixers weren’t worse though. They were better. Last season was their high water mark for wins. Up 3-2 in the 2nd round is (embarrassingly) their best performance in the Embiid era.
Thanks. I’m really excited that they got Harden to opt in. Opens up the door for an exciting Sixers off season when I didn’t think that was a possibility.
Trades are supposed to be mutually beneficial.

But the 6ers and Nets were both supposed to be top contenders. Neither team was.
