The actual weight of expectations in being a highly regarded NBA player broke him not the Sixers.

Hindsight is always 20/20. But when you assess a deal you can’t go back in time and say should have done this thing years ago. All you can do is assess what’s there now. People said Morey would get far less than James Harden for that asset.

And that’s how you assess who won a trade, no?

The Sixers weren’t worse though. They were better. Last season was their high water mark for wins. Up 3-2 in the 2nd round is (embarrassingly) their best performance in the Embiid era.

Thanks. I’m really excited that they got Harden to opt in. Opens up the door for an exciting Sixers off season when I didn’t think that was a possibility.

Trades are supposed to be mutually beneficial.

In an ideal case, both teams win.

That is not what happened here.

You want to make the case that the Nets lost more than the 6ers?

Sure. I agree.

But the 6ers and Nets were both supposed to be top contenders. Neither team was.

And it sounds like Portland isn’t fond of Herro.

What can BKN offer? A ton of picks, Cam Johnson, Dinwiddie and Cam Thomas.

That alone is better than Harris and picks
If Dame was amenable, gotta think Maxey would be tempting.

Obviously, a ton of salary would need to be added.

Say I was part owner of Spearmint Rhino * LA Strip Club * and thus was onboard with the Harden trade….

That 21 million dollar non guaranteed Eric Gordon contract would have been great filler.

They literally had to cheat to make that happen

No. This is false. It's been proven false by the facts over and over again.

Thuybulle doesn't pussy out on his layup and no one says anything.
You don’t know what facts are apparently. Simmons is a pussy, period. That’s a fact.

Powell was always going in that deal, Philly didn’t need both him and Gordon imo.

No. This has been litigated before.

ESPN cancelled Keyshawn, JWill and Max.

Will not be surprised if some of or all of them are gone.
That happened a week ago.

But, I think J Will has still been on some programs and Max still has his show…..

For now.

ESPN supposedly hemmorging money.

That’s why Disney was thinking of spinning them off

But also probably why it didn’t happen

They need to add the main espn channels to espn+

They’d get a ton more subscribers Imo.

Gordon would have been salary filler.

He would get waived because his deal was non guaranteed.

Doesnt matter now anyway.

The new rules don’t let that happen. His outgoing salary would’ve been 0 since none of it was guaranteed

I hate that rule. Nba just doing more things to make the fan experience worse

Yup.

I have ESPN + strictly for UFC.

It pisses me off that I can’t watch NBA games on it.

So I see ESPN has (so far) laid off Jalen Rose and Jeff Van Gundy. Not sweating losing Rose but how the fuck are you gonna fire Van Gundy but keep Mark Jackson? They got this backwards

I have it for 2 reasons

1) I really like insider articles (although that’s declining)

And

2) with Hulu and Disney+ I get a bundle discount (basically get it for free)

If disney breaks up the bundle I’ll likely cut something, Hulu is the one most likely to stay since I don’t have kids

I have the bundle too.

Have had it for years.

I pay 12.99.

If you want it commercial free, it’s $20 now.
