Oh, I like Powell, but he has three years left around $19M/year?

It restricts our options moving forward because Maxey will essentially be taking Harris' money.
Would rather have $30+M to chase a stud player than $10M + Powell.

That being said, Powell does seem like a Nurse kind of player.

30 million doesn’t get you a stud though.

It allows you to overpay a high quality role player.

Maybe Nurse will be able to get more out of him. But I’m thinking about a Harden-less Sixers and who is going to run PG. Maxey is 6’3’’ and that’s his easy defensive position. But he’s not a playmaker yet. I also like multiple ball handlers on the floor to close out games especially play off games.

Just turn the keys over to him

Best friend in BK just texted me on his thoughts on Dame....
View attachment 332870what do you think?

That very well may be what he thinks.

Problem is, he will go down in history as a very good player. Not a great one.

Because we just didn’t get enough Dame time in the playoffs.

Reality is it is the organizations fault. But it is Dame’s too. Because if he was that dude to the point that he thinks he is? The Blazers would have more consistent team success than they have had too.

And he’s a lousy recruiter

I think that Clippers proposed package would be pretty good.
It’s not bad but the Sixers can’t continue to compete with that coming back. They’d dip to a 6-7 seed. At that point, they are more likely to just keep Harden

So I did a thing.
Sixers - add Dame and Powell
Clippers - run Harden Kawhi PG13 swap out Zubic for Nurkic and get Simons
Portland gets Dame a landing spot in exchange for a complete reset of their salary cap. I need to add in here various 2nd round picks along with whatever firsts Clippers and Sixers can throw in.

Maybe I’m crazy but it seems like all 3 groups accomplish some big time goals with this. Maybe a little light for Portland in what they want back for Dame

The tricky thing about the James Harden possible trade for all teams involved is it likely a 1 yr rental which means you don't want to give up much for him. On the Philly side of it, they don't want to accept a crappy deal.

Just added 4 2nds and 3 1sts (28,29,30). They also get to reset their cap with Grant’s money coming off this year, 70 million of cap relief next summer, Mann and Scoot. A young back court to start your rebuild.

Yep. That’s why the names you’re hearing are the Clippers who are still chasing the Kawhi/PG13 investment and Knicks who are just a poorly run Dolan organization.

You’re fine. Miami doesn’t have anything for Sixers that isn’t a huge step back.
