Top Linebackers, Per CBS Sports and ESPN top five:

1. Trenton Simpson, Clemson - 6'3, 240 pounds
2. Drew Sanders, Arkansas - 6'5, 233 pounds
3. Daiyan Henley, Washington State - 6'2, 232 pounds
4. Henry To'oTo'o, Alabama - 6'2, 228 pounds
5. Jack Campbell, Iowa - 6'5, 246 pounds
6. Noah Sewell, Oregon - 6'2, 253 pounds
7. Dorian Williams, Tulane - 6'2, 230 pounds

None of these guys are projected to go in the First Round. More like 2-4th round. Do any of these guys spark your interest? Any linebackers or hybrid guys (DE/LB), are under the radar? Keep in mind, I did Defensive End and Defensive Tackle in previous threads.

Trenton Simpson sparks my interest, no doubt about that. But you left off Nolan Smith from Georgia. Understandable being that I believe he played the Edge there, but at 6'2, 238 lbs, he's really more suited in the NFL as an OLB. His combine numbers were off the charts.

Nolan Smith is on the Defensive End list.

Here's Trenton Simpson:

Here's Trenton Simpson:

Yes, which is why many sports sites don't include him in their LB rankings. But it's more likely he'll join the NFL as either an OLB or at best an Edge in a 3-4 set. He's a bit smallish to handle the NFL's OL behemoths on a play-by-play basis. But he's also greased lightning, gotta love that.

Updated Linebacker Rankings:
1. Drew Sanders
2. Jack Campbell
3. Trenton Simpson
4. Daiyan Henley

Only four LB prospects are ranked in the top 100 from both CBS Sports and ESPN. It's a pretty meh class. None of them are projected to go in the first round. Early 2nd round is seen as the starting point. Tavius Robinson, Dorian Williams, Henry To'oTo'o, and Nick Herbig could go in the 3rd to 5th round.

- A to Z sports on Drew Sanders and Dorian Williams
- Daiyan Henley highlight from Prince & Jack Campbell highlight from JustBombsProduction.
- Dorian Williams highlights on Prospects and Draft Analysis.
- CBS Sports one-minute review of the LB prospects.
