My initial ballot would be…

and maybe…

Pettitte
Rodriguez (can’t argue his ability and numbers, but he actually cheated NUMEROUS times and actually got his 3rd strike)

those would be my top 10... But i would probably only give a 9 player list if it was up to me...

Now, with the top 3 all having major cheating scanadals whether steroids or stealing signs... i can see the top 3(the obvious ones) not making it...

and past the top 3, i think this is a very weak class... with Bullpen eliteness, but not Rivera eliteness... I wouldnt be surprised if zero players get in this year...


And it is funny, Pettite was caught cheating as well... but everyone gives him a free pass... i wonder if that will happen again here, because he is likeable, and beloved.... most winningest playoff pitcher of all time( gets that reward more because he has pitched the most games)

Beltran won't be a Hall of Famer due to his role in the Astros sign stealing scandal. He was the only player mentioned by name by the commissioner's office.

Yeah, I looked it up. He was mentioned in a BALCO thing and admitted to using cream but not knowing it was a steroid. I guess that didn't help.

The announcement is today. Per the tracker, it will be Rolen and Helton only. But neither of them are anywhere near locks (both sit at about 79% of the public ballots).

While I think Rolen should be in, I don't understand why Beltran wouldn't be. They have the exact same career WAR, and Beltran was a post-season monster, in a pretty large sample size.
