Jackson is gone... you're not paying Haynes $4-5M to sit on the bench... and it's a prove it deal. Cutting Jackson means saving $6.5M, so you get $2.5M cap freed and Gabe Jackson was BARELY any better than Haynes and is 4 years older - he's peaked and is on the decline, Haynes can still improve and is motivated to do so with the 1 year deal. I'm fine starting Haynes, Seattle's biggest need on the OL (despite some of you disagreeing) is Center as Blythe is one of the (if not THE) worst center in the NFL.

Just wait until Gabe gets his Haynes on you...

Titans also cut Robert Brooks, who might be a great WR3 in a system that wore on him pretty well with the Rams.

Question for y'all,
Are the Ram's on the hook for any money owed after release to him?

Instant upgrade on run D plus low money invested to hit his 12-14 a year. SIGN HIM if we can!

The $7.5 million is a cap hit, not cash owed. $4 million is signing bonus, so he's already gotten it. So, the only cash they still owe him is $3.5 million roster bonus that they pay out on March 19.

Hawks could sign him to a sign and retire deal. Thing is the way it all went down when they released him was pretty brutal, Hawks screwed the pooch on that one and it was very tacky and not the way i want our team to do things.

I think Bobby still has a good year in him and would play better than what we saw from our Linebackers this season but he is not 25 and the cost on a team rebuilding even cheap is almost not worth it. Develop and grow.

2/$11MAll guaranteed might get him. Not too many teams have cap money to spend and buy a 32 year old is not always a great investment regardless of his history.

The Bears have $100M to spend and he might get the biggest bang for a buck in Chicago.

I think I can picture a world where Bobby is back to finish things out. I think his 2022 was "pretty good" overall. Every time I hear Dave Wyman talk about him since about 2020, he mentions that he isn't as physical (such as with taking on blockers) as he used to be. Bobby is certainly not a $20M player (what he was due when he was cut here), and I guess the Rams valued a little cap space (as much as $8M but at least $5M) more than what they thought they would get from him for $12.5M cap... but it wouldn't surprise me to see him back to enjoy the sunset of his career where it all began.

Blythe retired... Definitely needing a new center now... Thank God! Addition by subtraction in this case, imo...

The need for interior linemen on both sides of the ball is pressing in this draft, IMO. I will be surprised if we don't pick a G, DL, and C in the first 2 or 3 rounds. Maybe a little later for a center or possibly a vet FA there, but we have to improve all 3 of those spots immediately.

I wouldn't at all be shocked if they draft John Schmitz ( C ) in the 2nd or 3rd rounds.

Ugo Amadi signed with the Saints

Shaquill Griffin looking like Jags will trade or release him (I don't know how likely a trade is)
