Thats a lot of dough for Taylor unless he can play LT.

Apparently had a great pressure rate allowed last year. Chiefs will make it work.
One of the big first moves Andy did when he came to Philly was get Jon Runyan.

And even though he had already left, Andy had the whole Eagles organization designed his way and they drafted Lane Johnson at the top of the draft.

Both spots are important.

If I had to choose a QB who’s been to a SB over a guy that’s never won a playoff game, I’ll take the SB. Not to mention the multiple championship game appearances on top of the Super Bowl.

Give me the proven winner 10 times out of 10.
Sure Jimmy has the physical experience of being there, but he was never asked to pass much so he didn't get much mental experience out of it.

Carr could have easily QBd those teams to lose in the playoffs like jimmy did too.

They have Jacobs, Waller, and Adams. They should be able to win games with Paxton Lynch back there.

So what? Carr hasn’t proven he can even get to the playoffs and you want me to think Jimmy G is mid because he was asked to throw less. No, thanks.

So you take Trent Dilfer over Dan Fouts 10 out of 10 times.

Noted.

This is the kind of thought process that led to Matt Cassell getting way overpaid by the Chiefs.

Or more recently, those that thought Stafford could not win because he was on the Lions for his entire career. QB is the most important position in football, but football is still the ultimate team game.

I think Andy appreciates guys playing on their correct side. I know when Fisher went down in the playoffs they reshuffled in a way to emphasize the need at LT. It didnt work in the SB against TB but if they think he is a pro bowl RT and meh at LT then they'll try and stick him at LT...unless the Chiefs can't find one. I suspect they think he is going to be solid at LT. He did come from the Jags offense and I think a lot of that translates to the Chiefs.

I want to think, yes. I want you to think about the Oakland Raiders. Then I want you to think about the Las Vegas Raiders or even the Los Angeles Raiders or any other clown show you can remember and compare it to the Forty Niners organization.

Matt Cassell hadn’t won anything in the postseason either. Best rule of thumb in the NFL: never pay QBs that have little to no postseason experience.

Just like virtually every offseason, I am going to need a minute to adjust to some of these numbers we are seeing.

Raiders signed QB Jimmy Garoppolo, formerly of the 49ers, to a three-year, $67.5 million contract.

Garoppolo officially reunites with Josh McDaniels in Vegas, in a move the Raiders desperately needed to happen after cutting ties with Derek Carr and failing to land Aaron Rodgers. Oh, and they also lost Jarrett Stidham, another McDaniels disciple, to the Broncos just hours into free agency. A proven vet who spent six seasons with the 49ers and appeared in a Super Bowl, Garoppolo is 40-17 in his career as a starter and is fifth in EPA per play (0.214) among quarterbacks over the last three seasons. Still, this feels like a move that does little to improve the Raiders in the long haul, with the lone positive being his familiarity with McDaniels' offense.

Yeah. I would not be surprised to see them trade down also to get more selections in this draft. The Philly offense is set to return nearly every starter now, but the defense is going to see a number of defections and will have to be retooled quite a bit.
Mission accomplished
