Brown is a beast and way better. He was also banged up all year pretty much and has 50% more TDs since they came into the league. He also went 9-142 with a TD in the playoff game last year when he was finally healthy. And Brown is 2 years younger
You mean the better player got more money? What a shock. And somehow it doesn't surprise me that an eagles fan would think so much of Brown. Again, no one is calling McLaurin a world beater, but his contract fit the market and situation he was in.

You are the one that compared the two not me.

Way better? LOL that must be your opinion. I would take AJ bc of age and more of a deep threat but he isn't way better. AJ had the better QB, weapons around him and the best RB in the NFL to take pressure off of him. McLaurin has nothing around him.

3090 yards 16 TD's 62.2 catch %
2995 yards 24 TD's 62.7 catch %

Hell yeah, way better. Not close. Did you see the coverage shaded Browns way late last year? And still couldn't stop him. Dude is a beast. First off I go by what my eyes tell me and I certainly don't use rookie stats, but If you want to use stats make sure you use starts because Brown had some games where he didn't play all that much: AJ Brown 36, McClaurin 46. Or even better use snaps: Brown last year 604 snaps; Maclaurin 1,010. That's 68% more Snaps! That RB barely played last year and Brown was hurt most of the year even when he played. And we're talking Tannehill here, not Rodgers. Brown is a stud game changer. Maclaurin is a good player.

If you want to knock Brown on always being injured I can't argue it, but the two aren't even close from a talent perspective. Lastly, Wash threw the ball more than 100 times more than Tenn the last two years. All of those things way more than offset poor QB play.

I’m definitely not upset they signed him. This team needed to for sure. I like browns physical capability more, but I really like TM maturity and leadership. He can actually speak a sentence in English. Worth it imo

The guy barely broke 1K yards...WTF are teams doing?

It comes to a point where that is much more valuable and as a fan you can respect the player more. Antonio Brown had a ton of talent but he was immature and an idiot. Steeler fans hate him even though he was great.

Again....it does depend on how you feel about McLaurin. Could he be a 1500 yards 10+ TD guy with a better QB? I guess it is possible. But I personally doubt it.

Lpus, when will the Commies get that better QB? Howell doesn't have the draft capital for them to wait too long. Wentz isn't that guy (and held down Pittman's numbers last year). Could be drafting another next year or the year after.

I think Wentz is by far an upgrade from these. That’s not saying much though

It would have been really interesting if they had found out this info after the draft but before he had signed his contract to see if Houston would have still signed him or not.

The CBA requires teams to offer players chosen in the NFL Draft an NFL contract commensurate* with their Draft pick position. Not the best direct example but in 2015 the Rams picked WR Bud Sasser in the 6th round, (#201). The player then failed a team medical with a previously un-diagnosed heart condition on his 1st day at the team's facilities. The Rams were required to sign him to a 6th round contract.
