Titans released Julio Jones.

Raiders agreed to terms with RB Brandon Bolden, formerly of the Patriots.

Another case where it isn't until a guy is released that we realize just how bad of a move that was last year.

The Titans gave up a 2nd rounder and paid Jones $15M. For 31 catches 434 yards and 1 TD.

And because they backloaded his hit, they are taking an $11 dead cap hit this season for it.

.....

That is why when you hear that X QB costs too much against the cap or Y DT is making too much in AAV, it is just silly.

It is BAD moves where players dont play out their contracts that really kill teams.

Half a billion dollars. $500M. That is how much dead cap hit is happening in the NFL this season. Will probably top $600M when all is said and done. Those are what costs team cap room. Not because they paid a player that isn't top 5 at his position too close to top value at his position.

Look for the possibility of Baker going to the Raiders
damn could you imagine Derek Carr going to Indy?
I thought the colts were the most well-rounded team minus the QB position last year.
If they could keep that going with a much-improved QB. they could make some noise in a packed AFC

Maybe a three team deal. 49ers send Jimmy to Raiders, Raiders send Carr to Colts, Colts send a second to the 49ers

I have no idea. Just responded to whoever mentioned Mayfield to the raiders. That would be a huge score for the colts.

The Raiders would be getting some picks if they downgraded to Jimmy G.

Makes no sense for the Raiders to trade him to Indy and just get Jimmy G in return.

Honestly it doesnt make no sense to move on from Carr at all.
If he became available. He would be the best available QB.

They gonna have a $40M dead cap hit from Ryan. Good luck ATL. He wants to be in his hometown

Ah, ok.

Maybe Im thinking about the Watson math all wrong. Whoever gets Watson is going to suck their first year because he'll be suspended. (I'm guessing) So it'll be about the ability to build something over the course of the next couple of seasons.

ATL really shouldnt be a player in this unless they're doing some serious work
