Funny how we talk about contracts when they are signed as being "too much" or really good....

....but never really talk about contracts that were a complete disaster for the team when complete.

That was one of the worst signings of the 2020 offseason. Paid top dollar for pedestrian TE production and are left with a HUGE dead money cap hit. It such a bad hit that to free up space they have to divide it up between this and next year just to lower his cap number this year. Had they just straight cut him, he would have added to their cap.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Baker Mayfield and the Browns are "breaking up regardless" of the team's pursuit of Deshaun Watson.​

According to Mort, it sounds like the two sides are truly finished with each other. He even stated that the Browns "want an adult" under center. Mayfield took to Twitter to share his feelings on the offseason yesterday, saying, "I have given this franchise everything I have." He later added, "Whatever happens ... I just want to say thank you." Mayfield knows his team is looking to move on and is likely ready to do the same. Talking about Cleveland's options at quarterback, Mort added, "Jimmy Garoppolo is one I would not ignore." Watson is the splashy name for the Browns but they will have to win a bidding war over New Orleans and Carolina unless Watson singles them out as the only place he will accept a trade to. If that doesn't happen, Cleveland will undoubtedly set their sights on Jimmy

I'd also say its dumb AF if the Browns trade Baker to the Colts...although considerably less so because Im not sure Baker has much of a market.

Still, a healthy Baker is better than Wentz. And Wentz almost made the playoffs.

I'm not so sure about that...

I've been trying to figure out who is better between Baker and Jimmy G. I can't come up with an answer. Both stink.
