I'm suspicious of Brown. I like both picks but they are likely gone in the 1st..

People talking about a #1 WR. I'm scared of hell in Belichick taking another #1 in the 1st round.
All the #1's (most?) are gone by 14. Most are iffy to adjust to NFL. Risky.
Get a great OT in the 1st and Either a shutdown corner or Washington at TE in the 2nd.
If we had a great OT and Washington on the O-line, we're headed for a really big year!

He might be though.
Zey Flowers is 5'9 and some change. He will be an excellent slot WR
How fast is he really? He will have to excell at the combine., like a lot of the WR's
Do we need a small WR with average hands and "good" speed? I'd love to have him but not in 1st or 2nd rounds.....

Patriots entire staff was coaching the Shrine West team. They won 12-3. My guess is that Bill saw at leat two OITs and 2 OGs that he'sd already valued and placed in his rating system. Also, he's seen a bunch of WRs and TEs who are not in the top 100 list. I wouldn't be shocked at all if Bill trades out of #14 for 2024 first round pick and an additional 3rd in 2023. 2024 is supposed to be another big QB year.

If we had a later pick in the 1st round…maybe. No guarantees the next years 1st will be a better selection. I think we stay where we are. 14 isn’t a bad spot.
