he hit .199 last season with 99 hits in 498 at bats if he could increase the # of hits, singles etc, by 35 or 40 it could increase his BA to around .270

I doubt we will go after Joey in 8 months, but just imagine this scenario. We face the Yankees in the 2024 ALCS. We have Gallo, Smith and Duran in our starting lineup and they all do well in the series. Hauver comes off the bench and gets a couple of key pinch hits, and Otto does an excellent job out of the pen. Almost five decades of bad trades with the Yankees would finally be righted. Lol

Striking out A-Rod to get to our first WS pretty much exorcised all the Yankees demons for me.

Yeah, that got me past the 90s postseasons disappointments against them. I still hate that they have gotten the best of us in quite a few trades since the mid-70s.

We are still being linked to Olson. I hope Grant and Halicke are wrong. If we need a 1B either sign Freeman or wait for a prospect to be ready maybe in 2023.
