The major problem is you aren't winning with Butler as your best player.

The talk has been about pushing the ball and team speed, so in that aspect, Russ makes some sense. Factor in his past disinterest in defense and shaky shot and that sense fades quickly.

Even then, he makes more sense coming off the bench.

All the FA signings were pretty good IMO.

Jones and Bryant can combine for 38-40mpg at C, limiting AD's time there.

Toscano and Brown were added to play defense.

Walker was added to be an athletic SG and he shot a lot better at the end of last season. 37% on treys the last 18 games. 5 games with 3 treys. He should get great open looks with James, AD and Irving.

Brown, THT, Walker are pretty redundant.

They should all be good 3 and D guys in theory.

None have actually translated to that on the court.

Plus, they drafted Christie, who also falls into that category.

Are any of them over 6'6?

I like both Center signings and Toscano-Anderson.

But, your wing shooting is still horrific.

I'd be terrified to put all my shooting eggs in the Kyrie basket.

I have seen PJ play. Not very good. I have seen Crowder play who is very good. The eye test if you will....

Better defense should be easy to achieve. The bigger challenge would be playing worse defense than they played last year. lol
