No...

Im not coming at you.

I'm expanding on your statement.

Hell no, he won't start for the Lakers.

....nor any other team in the NBA.

Actually?

Lakers might just be the one team he would start for.

Yea that Westbrook-defensive-player story could be a lot of crap thrown-out there and every wet-behind-the-ears sports reporter is gobbling it up. But I agree, that coach-of-the-year story had me laughing too.

In all seriousness, Darvin Ham might just be a top 3 candidate.

Because he is inheriting a disaster and there is a decent chance they upgrade the roster.

And if they pull the Kyrie trade off and the Lakers finish as a 2 seed?

Who is getting that award over him?

Deserving or not, I actually might place bets on him if he is barely top half in the odds.

It could have hurt another team....but the Suns haven't really been hurt by it really.

They have Booker, Bridges, CP and co.

They got Paul quite cheaply iirc anyway.

KD is 33 and injury prone.

Teams have to be leery because he could ask for a trade if he isn't happy in a few years. And he would be harder to trade.

I have seen PJ play. Not very good. I have seen Crowder play who is very good. The eye test if you will....

I do think Tucker is a very good role player and would want him on my team any time.

But he is limited in what he can do, especially offensively.

Jae Crowder is like the 2.0 upgrade to Tucker.

That's because they're trying to trade 29 year old KD when they have 34 year old, injury prone KD. Like Lebron, he's still worth a lot, but not as much as his name suggests he is.

On top of that, expecting to get a lot more than what Utah got for Gobert is foolish.

Minnesota massively overpaid.

What they gave for Gobert would actually be a fair package for 34 year old KD.

Atlanta paid a hefty price too.

Because of those.two deals, Brooklyn will likely hold their ground.......for awhile..

Especially if all the noise about Durant not being the type to refuse to play is true.

Didn't you kinda already answer your own question with the first post quoted in this reply?

They ignored the very thing you claim is overrated.

Ps . I despise most Lakers fans.

Just not the ones on this site.

I can honesty say none of the folks here thought Westbrook was a good pick.
Wanted Hield!!!!!

James plays 65 games.
AD 60.
Irving 70 or so.

Plus role players we got probably a 3 or 4 seed in the WC.

If Scottie Pippen Jr was on the court and lebron told him to do one thing and ham told him to do something different - who would he listen to?
He'd listen to Cleveland hero Baker Mayfield of course. The guy who's bigger there than LeBron.

@tlance you been sipping the DJ juice....a fuckin' 2 seed?

I didn’t say that is what I think will happen.

It isn’t impossible though.

And why I think Ham’s odds for COY should be significantly shorter.

Lakers play anywhere close to what their expectations were last year and he is on the short list of contenders.

How are they getting Gordon?

They can only add more years vs Gordon’s expiring deal

Why am I getting the distinct impression that the Irving proposed deal ain't going to happen anytime soon and maybe at the very earliest the trade deadline. The greater likelihood appears to be falling toward next summer?? In the meantime Gordon or Hield will be the focus.
