And making her "the brand" was a shitty decision when you consider who still watches sportscenter in the evening. That's not your market for wokeness ESPN.

That's the point I've been trying to make to him.

ESPN has a bit of a sketchy history with diversity.

Rachel Nichols and some others were able to work through that.

But, when they wanted to promote a black female, instead of telling her "you're next in line, please be patient", or creating another position for her, they reverted to their sketchy past and asked a woman to step down from a position she had earned. They would never ask a man to do that.

Also, they couldn't make her do it because it was in her contract, so they decided to try to pressure and guilt her into it, which they also are unlikely to do to a man.

I will say Taylor made the situation pretty awkward by not even speaking to Nichols on it.

She was rightly upset but you have to consider the massive violation of privacy there.

And then to find out she later asked to make as much as Steven A. Lol come on girl.

Hopefully she continues to do well on NBC. She's killing it otherwise.
