Yeah I live in Dallas, uptown area, and it’s a nice city but not exactly a strip club scene like Harden would cherish

i envy you for living in such a superior city and state.

Not if they trade for Buddiy.

Also, I think your cap number is wrong.

Per USA Today....

Let’s assume Jones opts out. Add up the money owed to James, Davis, and Christie and you get a number less than $89 million. Although the salary cap for this season is set at $123.6 million, it is expected to jump to $133 million in 2023.

That leaves $44.1 million in cap space for Los Angeles, and that number matters! Suddenly, the Lakers have enough cap space to sign a free agent to a max contract so long as he has less than ten years of experience.

Now that they have Beverley as their projected point guard, perhaps the Lakers decide to trade Westbrook and draft picks to the Pacers for Myles Turner and Buddy Hield.

Hield would take $19.3 million from their cap space and the Lakers would also likely want to extend Turner for a multi-year deal if they are trading for his services.
I was merely throwing out the estimate that I heard and am aware that can change and will - and yes every dollar matters depending on what they do with it.

You got others to be more concerned about age wise I assure you
Personally, I think just about everyone is too old - and falling apart - About the only thing Charles Barkley said right was that once they get old, all of them has to deal with the body falling apart.

Develop younger talent for what?

You are all in to win in the LeBron window.

When that window closes, you will be back to square one.

And the “younger talent” on the Laker roster has very little upside.
No team should ever stop building new talent for the right now theory - The Lakers are going to be totally screwed in a few years from now and stay screwed for several more if this don't work out.

There is no way that the Lakers SHOULD bring Westbrook to camp after all this.

He's a hothead.

Bev is a troll.

Toxic does not begin to describe combining those two personalities.
There has been talk about putting WestBrick on the inactive roster for the season

Not really.

They are the Lakers. A lot easier to rebuild in LA than most markets.

Yeah, sure. They will probably suck for a few years. But it won’t be long before they have a new core. And unlike most franchises, they don’t have to always rely on the draft to get the main pieces.
