Yea DJ/Mamba, what those officials did with those crash-site photos which are gruesome was nothing short of evil, unprofessional, and downright disgusting. Sonsabitches ought spend a few months in jail for that ghoulish nonsense. Vanessa deserves any and all monies that jury will award her!!

I think it was awful what they did and they deserve punishment- but giving her 16 million in taxpayer money seems a little excessive. There are people that were wrongly impriosoned for decades that did not get that kind of money.

I feel terrible for her- but 16 million dollars? seems excessive.

Yeah, I'm inclined to agree. From what I understand, it ultimately came down to concern that the pictures may end up being posted online. It's been 2 years and none have been posted. So, in essence, she's being paid for something that hasn't happened, but might. I don't know if it's possible, but maybe it could have been set up so that if the pictures ever end up online...she gets paid.

Guaranteed that those pictures will eventually pop up though - what you put on the internet is there somewhere in la la land forever. Personally - the only part that bothers me about that amount of money Bryant got was that she doesn't the money -I am hoping she puts into a non-profit to help future victims or something - I know the Bryants do own a charity group - so here is hoping.
