The weather is great, but if you want to pay 3x monthly to live on a fault line and deal with annual droughts, wild fires and traffic that's your call. I love the sports teams and the weather, but my choice to live in Cali would be San Diego (as I did for about 5 months), and even that is beyond my means most likely.
State taxes and cost of living are just insane in California.

The top state tax right in California is now 13.3%. That is just bonkers.

Sales tax rate is actually pretty high too at 7.25% which is high.

I have not been out there in a while now- but its a great place to visit. But there is a mass exodus out of California right now.

the crime in the cities is out of control due to the DA's that have been voted in. I saw in SF they finally recalled the one DA. All these CVS/Walgreens are shutting down since anything under $900 the police dont even care about. You see all these videos of people just goign into stores and just stealing stuff. Its unbelievable.

Seems a bit ridiculous to me, you either help your team or you don’t. F what others think.
I totally agree. You dont judge a trade when its made. You judge a trade on how it works out.

A lot of people killed the Pacers for trading George for Oladipo and Sabonis- and not taking a buunch of picks, etc.- but it turned out to be a good decision.

if any GM has a deal they like but they dont do it because of public perception they should not be a GM since they are not cut out for the job.

Exactly right, and they aren’t the GM in the first place if they aren’t allowed to do their job. It’s just understood that their job depends on their performance.

Not at the time of the trade.

Not immediately, no.

But after assembling the most underwhelming super team ever, how long you think Sean Marks lasts if he fails to return as much for KD as Utah got for Rudy freaking Gobert.

Probably going to be the next guy making the picks you return.

KD would give MJ the work and Giannis would as well. I think a lot of the top guys today can. They have the length to give him trouble offensively
Absolutely.

For the same reason MJ would beat Ja.

Significant height advantage.

I'm one of those people who romanticize Jordan's career.

The further away we get from his playing days, the larger he seems historically.

Jordan was a great defender.

But, he's not checking a 7 footer.

Fuq outta here....lol

Excuse you...?!

I still live out here, damnit...:heh:
What City?

Because, that shit matters.

LA County >>>>>>>>>>> LA City.

When I say I grew up in LA, I really mean LA.

Imperial and Western across from South West College.

Some people say LA as a generalization and they actually live in Long Beach, Northridge, West Covina, Walnut, Downey, Burbank.

Long Beach now. Been here for about a month and a half. Came up outta South Central, and of course spent a chunk in Ingle-hood(Morningside High School, class of '74:D). Before I got to my recent I was in Torrance for nearly 30 years...

You're right, though. Some parts are better than others. Course I think you can say that for darn near anywhere...

There is currently a recall being put together to recall LA's DA as well. If memory serves, I heard last week that they already have the signatures to get it on a ballot.

I'm hoping that it's the start of folks coming to their senses...but I'm not holding my breath.

Torrance.

I still have a ton of relatives that live there.

My GAWD, I used to get pulled over every other block driving thru there in the 90's....lol

Concede on there being pockets of good and bad everywhere.

But, the cost of living is insane.

The congestion, traffic is unbearable.

If I ever moved back, it would be to the Inland Empire.

But, its ridiculous there too.

I have a house in Rancho that my Mom lives in and she was looking to downsize.

We started looking at places and a 2bd 2 BA in a area that's not completely disgusting was 3100 a month.

My fucking mortgage is less than that and my house is across the street from Victoria Gardens.
