Precisely, no way the Nets want Westbrook, Lakers need to find a third team to get Kyrie. And that third team has to 'want' Westbrook as an expiring I guess.

I have seen this declaration elsewhere, but if there is any truth to it, Green Eggs and Ham is stating in public that he believes Westbrook will be a starter and thrive in his new role under the new coaching staff's tutelage as a defensive player. I am not sold on the notion that Irving will be in LA soon. It may take until next summer as is beginning to emerge.

That is what they are insinuating.

They aren't giving Kyrie away for free.

Kyrie has very little value right now.

But, he still has more than Westbrook.

The very obvious thing that's not being mentioned....

Are the Lakers willing to bring a humiliated Westbrook back to start the season?

Kyrie might be a moron.

But, he isn't a albatross on the court like Westbrook.

Sure, but is Richardson and/or McDermott of interest to the Nets, along with taking back less salary than they are giving (Kyrie)? They could take both in the trade and still save $10M+ in salary in the exchange. It's not like they aren't getting assets in my proposed trade.

Of course, this all depends on the Spurs being a willing parter, but dumping two 2-year vet contracts (saving $23M vs the cap in 2023) and getting draft capital could interest them.

Honestly, if I were Westbrook, I would find this entire situation insulting.

My scorn wouldn't be directed towards Ham, he's trying to make wine out of toilet water.

He wasn't there last year and inherited this shitshow.

But, everyone with a phone/TV/tablet/computer knows they want NOTHING to do with this guy.

These are pretty words meant to placate Westbrook in the event that he's still on the roster.
