Well...Pelinka is pushing for it and sounds like Irving is trying to land there.

Kyrie has no leverage. The Lakers best shot is to hope that they are still the only team that is interested. If Kyrie is really going to focus on forcing himself to the Lakers, that will help to keep other teams away. But if anyone else decides to take a flier, they will be able to beat the Lakers best offer.

Lots of value FAs still remain. I wonder if Markieff Morris will make a return to the Lakers for another one or two-year deal. He played quite well for the Lakers in the Bubble Championship year (2019-2020 season) and the following season. If Griffth is not on the radar, then maybe the Lakers will wait to the G-League is further along to find a youngster who fits their new youth and athleticism approach.

Dallas apparently wants him.

I would like him....he was pretty valuable to that team.

He’s still taking a lot less money to go to la vs resigning gif bird rights but yeah not as much as this year

Idk why the clippers don’t.

Picking wall to use your mle on is a choice, especially costing you hartstein.

If that is the case, he loses money wherever he goes. The Nets arent interested in re-signing him. Sounds like they didnt even want him to opt in.

Should be easy to trade him at mid season if he behaves

Minimal risk to another team as an expiring contract
