Dedmon will sign for more than that. You’re still stuck in this mindset where guys will take the vet minimum to go ring chase with LeBron. That’s a farce now. If someone is going to ring chase for the vet minimum there are likely 8-10 better options to do so that aren’t the Lakers and LeBron. The only year LeBron/AD had any success in they had a 5 month break before the playoffs to get healthy.

Doesn’t that mean that you kick the can down the road on paying off that 47.5 reflected on the cap as a smaller portion for many more years? Why not just ride it out and swallow the shit this year and move on? It’s not like they’re a championship team even if they buy him out and add spare parts anyway.

Depends on whether he's a team player this year or not. If he's detrimental, to the bench with him. No point in a buy out unless there is no market for him at the deadline.
