Believe the 29th is the date he has to opt in.

Yep. If I had to put money on it, I'd say that he opts in at the last minute and then pushes for a sign and trade.

I honestly think it's best for the Lakers if he does opt out.

Sure, it opens the door for more suitors.

But, it gives you the easiest path to acquire him.

Of the teams that should want him, gotta think it would be down to the Lakers, Mavs, Heat and Knicks.

He could win with the 1st 3, he wouldn't have to move his family with the later.

Problem is…

His trade value depends on whether the acquiring team prefers to have him for 1 year or long term.

So they need to talking to his suitors now to figure that out.
Exactly.

Knicks, bro.

If they whiff on Brunson, they will pivot to Brogdon in desperation.

Different regime.

But, this is the same Organization that gave up a 1st for Andrea Barganini... Lol

I don’t know.

They are dumb.

But are they really that dumb?

Maybe.

But it also hard caps you

Might not matter for the lakers this year, but it could

It’s likely a multi team trade since kyrie make enough less than russ to matter for this

Can't see any interest by the Heat. As I've said before, he is the opposite of Heat culture. Also, the Heat require their players to be vaxxed and Kyrie isn't.

If they give him the tax payers exception?

They are only working with vet mins anyway.

I'd much prefer to be hard capped for Kyrie, over hard capped for Monk, as much as I like him.

I know the lakers won’t have a lot of firsts

But they can buy multiple seconds each year

Round out a cheap role player depth team and get the studs via fa like they always do.

The article was taking about sign and trade opportunities

Well, they are scrambling to get space to sign Brunson as if he's Steph Curry, Dame Lillard.

Nice player.

Nowhere near a franchise guy.

It's kinda baffling to me, honestly.

They need a PG and you knew they were going all in on him when they brought in his dad as an assistant coach.

Kyrie'e head? are we sure he believes in bullets?
If he does, he also believes this is possible.
