You fell victim to one of the classic blunders.
Solid pick on a good, young offense.3.15 - Hayden Hurst… was in desperate need of a starting TE. Finding the Bengals starter this late was music to my ears.
Was eyeing him too.

Tough finding targets with Chase, Higgins, Boyd, and MixonSolid pick on a good, young offense.

No kidding.Tough finding targets with Chase, Higgins, Boyd, and Mixon

3 a week on average. Could certainly be worse, but I'm not sure where the uptick could come from, unless they go even heavier in the pass game, upping Burrows 32 attempts a game, which they certainly could. Leaders were around 37-40 per game. It would seriously screw Mixon and throw their balance off though49, 493, 5 last year for Uzomah.
I’m good with that. I can even hope for a tick up.
Yes, there is that.Tough finding targets with Chase, Higgins, Boyd, and Mixon.

my name is in this a lot..lolSince everyone else took the time to do a summary of their picks I will too. This was my first rookie draft with my new team and looking forward to my first season in D2. My first offseason was less about my draft and more about some offseason moves I made which I will detail at the end.
I only took two rookies in the 2nd and 4th rounds. Honestly imo it wasn't a bad draft to have less picks. Overall like TREFF mentioned the draft in general had projected little to no top talent other than at possibly RB but really only time will tell.
2.10 - David Bell - CLE - This was simply a handcuff pick. I acquired DPJ in the Mahomes trade so if all else fails if his targets slip and Bell is the guy to take them, it could work out. I don't know what to think of Bell. He is no Metcalf when it comes to RAS but his production, route running and ability the catch ball was impressive at Purdue. He's just one of those guys that produces quietly.
4.4 - Calvin Austin III - PIT - Coming into the draft I needed RB's but not having a 1st or early 2nd and after the Bell pick there wasn't much at RB. Austin could be nothing more than a ST specialist or he could form into a nice slot option for mini-me hands Kenny. It's a 4th rounder so really no risk.
At this point I traded back for more picks to simply eat up roster spots to have some kind of depth. Nothing left with rookies so I hit the WW.
4.14 - Geno Smith-Seattle, I needed a backup QB after trading Wentz this offseason. I think he has a legit chance to start over Lock barring Pete trading for Baker or JimmyG.
5.04 & 5.05 - Phillip Lindsay & Brandon Bolden - I was pretty happy getting a couple 3rd stringers for depth here. Injuries happen and these guys are pretty good options imo. Again, keep filling the roster.
5.10 - Bresad Perriman - honestly probably would have targeted another guy but I like my WR depth. Just a roster filler.
WW - I was able to snag Brissett off the WW to add a 3rd QB to my roster. He could be used a possibly a better option over Geno if Patty gets injured but it all depends on the Watson suspension.
Offseason trades
I traded Miles Sanders and Tre'Quan Smith to Harold for Adam Thielen - This move I really get from both sides. Harold needed a RB that has upside, it seems like us owners keep waiting on Sanders to breakout but I simply wasn't patient enough having in multiple leagues in the past. Thielen is older but he is a big RZ target for Kirk who secured an extension. These two have a connection.
I traded Diontae Johnson, Austin Hooper, Trey Lance, 22' 1st and 23' 2nd to Chef for Patty Mahomes and DPJ. This was another win-now move for me. I wasn't winning with the current roster, going into this dynasty I was either going to tear it down or build it up. Mahomes secured my plan. It was tough giving up Johnson but having mini-me Kenny makes me sleep a little better at night and I am just not a fan of Lance. Did I give up too much? I feel you never can give up too much for arguably the best QB in the NFL but only time will tell.
I traded Carson Wentz to TREFF for Laviska Shenault. This was a depth move. Wentz is a pretty good backup option honestly but I just needed depth at WR. Now with the Jags moves at WR it doesn't look good for Shenault barring a trade. Only way I won this move is if he gets traded imo
I traded 23' 1st, 22' 3rd, Marvin Jones and Eno Benjamin to TREFF for Michael Carter. I made this move right before the draft...and that was stupid. I got a little too antsy with my RB depth. I still like Carter as a player but now his opportunity just dropped with Hall now on the roster. If Hall becomes a stud early and often then I will look back at this trade with TREFF winning bigtime.
that I do!You like to make trades
