Wonder when we are going to see other countries competing like on the Men's side. 24 years since Nagano, You would think at least one of the typical powerhouses (SWE, FIN, CZE) would get their program closer.

Finland has several Bronze Medals, and weren't blown out vs either Canada or the US in this olympics. I think they are the only team to make it to a Gold Medal game outside of Canada and the US? The Univ of Minnesota has had several Finnish Olympians on their college roster, including one of their incoming players, who was the 2nd highest scoring Gopher in the olympics. Outside of that, the Gophers have their first swedish player joining the team. I'm most surprised the Russians haven't done better at women's hockey.
