If possible, the Flyers should make space to pick-up one FA from the Avs. Championship-caliber players. If we don't have the money, we don't have the money and you build with what you have and dispensing with the garbage ASAP.

Without moving both Provy and TK, no chance.
But even if you do this, would it make sense? I mean you're going to need way more than this guy, and he's pretty much Giroux 2.0! So you would essentially be back to the same team you had while Giroux was here? While Gaudreau is a good player, we need something else that would be a game changer, we just don't have the room for it IMO.

Be nice to have a winning culture in the locker room. You still don't get that with Gaudreau, he's another one who's never been past the 2 nd round in the playoffs, not sure why he's so sought after?

The Flyers are cutting ties with Linblom as was previously posted lasgop and it also looks they are moving on JvR too. Trying to free-up more cap space to possibly bring-in another FA not yet mentioned or help in re-signing "keepers". Torts is forcing the issue apparently. Good!

We may be quite different come training camp and this will be foundation-building as Torts and company clean-up this rathole of a shitshow known as the Flyers.

I kind of wish the Flyers would have given Linblom one more season, he looked like he was starting to get his game back at the end of last year. Oh well as long as we get whatever we're getting I guess.

At the end of last year JVR TK Linblom and Prov flourished right after our big deadline trade.

Yep and if they could play that way all year it'd be awesome. JVR is my only must move guy on that list though.
After being the 5th worst team in the league last year IMO everyone has potential to be dealt, released, bought out etc...

Probably take another future 2nd and/or 3rd to move JVR.
But, hey, why stock the cupboard when you have no idea what ingredients to get.....

So I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Flyers give Guadreau a ridiculous contract, something around 8.5 million a year with a NTC. Which is not good but will definitely push a lot of fans the rest of the way out the door.:tsk:

JVR contract still killing us since the day we signed him. :mad2:We dont have enough money to sign anyone without trading away one or two players.

I agree that it would not make sense. We are too many pieces away.

This is/was an epic failure on Fletchers watch. No way this idiot should have been resigned, especially at this price.

I hope it’s only 8.5… I’m expecting closer to 10.
