He does look pretty good standing in front of Hart and watching the game go on around him. Dude is a human pylon! Sad part is no way anybody takes him or that shitty contract.

Hart cost us the Devil game and last nights game.

Frost i want to thank you for entering the NHL last night. Please play like that more often.

JVR and Tippett did everything they could.

Farabee needs to pick up his game. he hasn't played well in a long time.

Risto is just terrible and Prov is by no means at all a top line defenseman

At least if you aren't going to have 1 point in 22 games be a presence out there. We are stuck with that contract until we buy him out or until it runs out.

After the Vegas game i think Torts finally learned his lesson and we wont be seeing Hayes in any more OT's.

Purdue up to No1 in the college basketball ranks.
Kiss of death - we didn’t last a single game last year when we hit #1. Looked vulnerable against Nebraska. Rest of December is a really soft schedule.

Football coach is leaving for his alma mater Louisville after finally having some amount of success. We can’t have nice things.

I would love to someday see this team at full strength regarding health. Right now it seems like we get a key guy back and then lose two more that are equally vital to our success. We get those two back finally and then another is suddenly out due to injury. All the while, guys like Couturier, Atkinson and Ellis have been out the entire season to date. I understand people don't want to hear excuses, but those holes are LARGE reasons why we can't win hockey games.

Essentially, this team is trying to build an identity and find it's way all while without 4 of it's top 5 players on average.

You can shit on JvR all season long, but he has 9 points in 9 games with a team-leading +7. So, he's one of the few goal scorers we have back healthy that has also been responsible defensively.

If Frost can be productive with JvR and Tippett, we might have three very solid lines once Couturier and Atkinson return. That then pushes some pretty decent players for us to the 4th line.

The Flyers are in a tough spot as a franchise, with a subpar roster and — outside of Cutter Gauthier — not a ton of premium young players on the way from the system. This could take several years to turn around but the Flyers being a desirable destination for free agents could help speed things up a bit.

Mark Lazerus on the Flyers’ ownership and market: Philly is one of America’s great sports towns, with a singular fan base that never lacks for passion, win or lose. That will never change. After decades of having Ed Snider as the face of the franchise, the Flyers are now owned by Snider’s corporation, Comcast Spectator. Under Snider, the Flyers were in perpetual win-now mode. It remains to be seen whether the current ownership will allow the full-blown rebuild the franchise clearly needs. Regardless, it’s stable ownership in a great sports city

I gotta say, I don't really want to see this roster at full strength. Couturier and Atkinson definitely help, but it still doesn't make them good enough to make the playoffs. Even with those guys, the Bruins, Leafs, Lightning, Devils, Hurricanes, Rangers, Panthers, and Pens are significantly better than the Flyers. They might be able to battle with the Wings/Isles/Caps, but for 9th place. The worst possible place in the standings.

The accidental tank is on and I'm good with that. It's what the team needs. That and to get Fletcher out before he ties up so much future cap space on shit players that they can't afford to re-sign Gauthier and their top 5 pick this year when they get to RFA status in 2026.

Feels like they didn't even try to project the future with that article. One of those bottom 5 teams is going to have a prime-Bedard on their team who might be a top 5 player in the league by then. Highly unlikely they're still a bottom 5 team with that.

I agree they should've done a better job at at least putting his name to a team or two.

I juts hope its us who gets him and get a better score on young core players under 23.

Another couple of gems by Hextall by drafting Rubstov with the 22nd pick in the 2016 draft while Tage Thompson currently 3rd in the league in scoring went 26th.

2017 draft we select Frost with pick 27 and Ratcliffe with pick 35 while Jason Robertson currently 4th in the NHL in scoring was the 39th pick.

Nick Seeler is a plus 5 and is one reliable defense man.

Prov -12
DeAngelo -13
Risto -7

One or two of these guys have to go unfortunately nobody will ever take Risto with that contract so that leaves 2.

Hey, it sure as hell doesn't look like it will ever happen, but yeah, I would like to see what this team at 100% full strength and coached up by Torts is actually capable of. It's really easy at this point to just say x number of teams will still blow us away. I don't necessarily think that is the case. Once Carter Hart gets some help in front of him, I think he could be winning Vezina's and we could be a team that nobody will want to face, regardless of where we stand ultimately.

If we're going to straight-up tank for a top 3 pick, we're doing it wrong. The team is actually too competitive, despite all of the critical injuries to our top players.

I say we'll get rewarded in the end by just letting the chips fall where they may while actually trying to reinforce Flyers hockey and everything that we stand for as a franchise and as a city.
